Painting: Assault on the Red October steel plant

Rules and Guidelines are as follows:

1. No godmodding. Ever.
2. No fixed-wing aircraft unless in co-ordination with another character you have.
3. Mary Sues and Gary Stus are punishable by death.
4. Do not dogpile snipers. I know Vasily Zaitsev was a cool guy, but this battle needs to keep moving.
5. If you want to roll with a guy or group of guys that's seperated from his unit, try and talk to another player about that.
6. Women in the Red Army? Sure. Women in the Wehrmacht? In secret, I'll allow it.
7. Up to three characters per person. If you ask nicely I may give you more.
8. Give me feedback. I can't know everything.

Name: Moritz Greiter
Age: 31
Description: Tall, rugged, dark hair, chiselled features and hazle eyes. Wears the standard field-grey M42 combat tunic and a steel M1940 helmet.
Background: Moritz joined the Wehrmacht in 1936, because frankly he couldn't seem get himself a job - and even if he did, it was a short lived affair. From Norway, to France and then Greece, he proved himself several times on the battlefield, and was tipped for promotion into the officer ranks. However, an altercation developed during the storming of a Greek village. The peoples were unarmed and had surrendered, but nevertheless, Moritz's unit was ordered to execute them for 'partisan' activities. He declined the order, and found himself on the steel toe cap of an SS jackboot. Moved to a penal unit for punishment, but spared death because of his service history, Moritz has become disillusioned with the Nazi regime.

Seventeen operations on the Eastern Front, most of them involving mindfield clearing duties in broad daylight ahead of an offensive action, and here he is: Stalingrad. His survival thus far had not been through skill or instinct, but rather luck and chaos. Every mission was designed to eliminate his unit, so that the powers that be wouldn't have to go through the embarassment of pulling undesirables back into the fold.

On the road to Stalingrad, his penal unit was assigned the duty of ousting a Russian tank detachment from a ridge with nothing but rifles and grenades. Victory was theirs, but of the three hundred men involved, only thirty made it back. He has been promised time and time again an honourable discharge back into civilian life for his undoubtable display of courage and battlefield vigour, but it has never come. This weighs heavily on his mental state: He knows he is going to die in this war, no matter what he does.

As the German army rounds on Stalingrad, his penal unit is sent head first into the fray.

Unit: Bewährungsbataillone 391 (Fictional)
Role: Rifleman
Equipment: Mauser Kar 98k, M1884/98 III Bayonet, M24 Grenade x 2
Rank: Oberschütze
Misc. Wears a red triangle as his insignia, to mark him as part of a penal unit.

Jakeozzy: I have no problems with this except for two things: There's plenty of ammunition and I'd prefer her to be a tad older.

The 62nd Army was ordered to defend the city at all costs, and Aleksandr and his comrades dug in to defend. Early in the battle, many of the junior officers and sergeants in his unit were killed, causing Aleksandr to receive a hasty field promotion to the rank of junior sergeant after rallying his leaderless squad during the fighting. Note to Axis players: You can take a Croat soldier of the 369th regiment, or a Hungarian/Romanian/Italian who was seperated from his unit if you desire.

EDIT: Character sheet updated. It was taken from a game where there were units listed to begin with.

Look at you with your fancy "Semi Auto", Mother Russia hasn't won wars with semi autos !
They won it with bolt actions and the blood and sweat of the motherland!!!!

Just in case anyone takes this seriously.
It isn't.
Im not Russian
And I know little about them...

Thank God I didn't have to spend three posts explaining this to people!

I will modify my sheet either tonight or tomorrow to fit with the new format.
