I have a large tattoo that covers most of my right shoulder blade, planning on a couple more, I just need to decide what means something to me.As for things like subdermals and scarification, not a fan, especially when it's shit on your face. Same kind of goes for super stretched ears, it's not something you can hide easy and when you're looking for a career, most employers are going to judge heavily how that looks, and something you did in your late teens or early 20s can screw you for life if you aren't careful. Plus, should you ever want to remove the plugs, you can't without having permenantly saggy earlimobes.
Two points I want to touch on, first being, you say that employers could judge heavily on how body mods look, however, do you think that these things are being more tolerated as time goes on, or no? I'm not saying my generation (I'm 17) won't have trouble with it if we choose to get tatted/pierced up before entering the job world, but perhaps future generations could have a significantly decreased difficulty with it, no?
Secondly, you can stretch your lobes up to a half inch, and they'll still close back up over a relatively short amount of time (about a year, usually less), anything beyond that will not close, or if they do, it takes much longer. But stretching up to a half inch (00g) usually has no permanent consequences.
