Titanic, I'm just curious about whether or not you understand how long it takes to build a canal. Construction on the Panama Canal lasted for over 2 decades and the Suez Canal took a decade to build. And those were started in the 1800s.

Oh, and Golem I got my history onto my nation sheet. So I just wanna know if it's all good.

Based mostly on how real world science would have it*, I give to you a map with ocean currents, with thickness of arrows being a rough estimate of how intense the currents are. It assumes the equator is either at or just below the bottom of the map.
*The Part not exactly based on Science are the arrows on the far left and right, but I added those in because I imagine that we don't want ridiculously hard trade against currents. Plus it's fantasy, so its allowed to have a little freedom, right? Anyways, the map is below.

Not Necessarily. It makes your trade from Golem go against the currents.

Also, Update @ Everyone, I remembered that global wind patterns really play more of an important role if we were, you know, exploring a globe. We aren't so they're really kind of pointless, it would be better to know about something like a gulf stream pattern, and I personally don't know enough to make an accurate one. So just the Ocean Currents Map.

Not exactly, I would be the one heading to golem, once im done, i would head to the holy island of deloth, trade a bit, and finally go around it before heading through the weak current and into the river.

so why were people complaining about the distance it takes to trade? people have crossing continents to trade for thousands of years, it's not that hard especially when a lot of money is involved.
