Eranorian Mercenaries come in groups of about 300 or more warriors. depending the size of the group and how well equipped they are, the prices could range from 500 pieces of gold to 2000 pieces of gold and if you pay 2000 you would get around about 1500 men and they would be among the top of line warriors.

Well, since I'm a smaller nation than most. I was going to show the plans of the canal to other nations in hopes of getting support (such as money and men). And also research more useful ways to finish the canal project quickly. I may have nations pay me to use them >:)

And Golem, there's some stuff about the Ta'hamurg I need to know for my history. Like, how far did they expand? How did they expand, was it predominantly through military might or was it diplomatically? And how did they treat people of other faiths that would refuse to put the Ta'hamurg God above their own native God(s)?

EDIT: And Rare, that's still a long ways to go. If the canal's not built at the beginning, it's not something that'll be quick. Though magic could probably speed it up quite a bit. But that's just my opinion and Golem has the final say.
