"I've never been to Britain. I hear it can be dreary and rainy somewhat frequently, is it true?" Leilah asked Syrax. She still felt a little awkward, but she wasn't quite as nervous as before. "I think finding the dorms and then looking around sounds like a good plan, though."

The Kyuubi turned to acknowledge Zandrea's remark about rooms. She smiled a little, and in spite of an almost tangible guard still up, she managed to crack a small joke, "I can assure you, I have no urge to smash anyone in her sleep. A wild roommate? I suppose I can manage. After all, not a lot is wilder than running through the dunes of the desert, chasing Jackals, and scaring some Nile crocs on visits to my grandparents."

Selkie nodded, the gruff voice startling him at first, the soft growl giving him an idea of what she could possibly be; a mammalian creature of sorts maybe. Personally, he didn't know if the males in his race were as girly as himself or if it was just him. He's never met any other harpies in his life. With the short response that Zexel gave him, the effeminate male searches for another subject to hop on, to continue their conversation."S-so.. What brought you to this school, Zexel?" He didn't look up at her, staring down at his knees the whole time. He finally looked up at Zexel, making eye contact... Well, at least trying to make contact, it's kind of hard at the angle he is at. "Personally, I came here to get to know more about monsters... I grew up raised by humans..."

Watching the much smaller creature beside her, the boyish girl's deep blue eyes blinked slowly as she listened to another question. Not sure why this male was speaking to her, she gave a slow nod. "About the same... Learning of other creatures." She answered, her tall lean body shifting slightly as she examined the male avian beside her. Should she try interacting in return? He didn't seem dangerous at least. "Were you suggested here by family?" She asked.

syrax sighed. "I'm not your typical guy, and anyway, what do you have against guys?" he stretched and jumped down a row to make his way out. "I'll see you girls outside the dorms in say fifteen minutes?" he suggested, laughing at the commented about the UK he shrugged. "it rains, yes, but it as some of the most amazing scenery you can picture, there's a place I used to go to on holiday mountains so tall that even a dragon couldn't fly over them, and all the way up the side were huge green oak trees older than the town at the base of the hills." he sighed " and when it rained you could race under the trees and hide from the rain in the shadow of oak tree so old your grandparents can remember climbing it as children." he shrugged, and smiled. "look at me, day dreaming about home already," he shook his head, then his eyes lit up "And then there's the storms...." he grinned, "no rain, or wind, just this...feeling of immense pressure and power, as if the havens themselves are about to ride down and shatter earth, and then BOOM." he jumped forward a little, hopeing to make them jump. "it starts to drop lightning as if they were raindrops, thunder rattling like a almighty drum. its the sort of thing that makes you realise that against some things your just as weak as a human."

zandrea shifted abit as she stood beside Syrax "I have no ill feelings about your gender....i was making a jest about living in the same room with a male...I seem to have problems being funny" as she was listening to his story she was enthralled in the landscape he painted with his words all she thought was how much it sounded like her home then when the BOOM came, she lightly flinched taking a step back from where she was "this place you speak of sounds enchanting"

"If you'll pardon me, while your homeland sounds... lovely, I think I'll stick to my clear nights, burning hot days, desert winds and sand storms with only one rainy/storm season. Though, I would like to see some of the scenery you speak of. When in Japan instead of Egypt, I loved running through the wooded mountains with Mother." Leilah remarked, wincing slightly at his vocalization of thunder. She looked at Zandrea, noticing her flinch as well and take a step back. She had looked as though she were reminiscing, enthralled by his words, until the 'BOOM.' It made the Kyuubi think that, perhaps, Zandrea's homeland was similar to Syrax's.

Leilah also began making her way out of the rows of seats. "I guess we should get going towards the dorms before all the good rooms are taken?"

Syrax nodded and smiled. "Britain is quite pretty, yes, but it is damp. you get used to it." he headed out and down towards the doors. "fifteen minutes. outside the dorms." and with that he was off, jogging through the crowd using the fact he was thinner and a lot more agile than most to keep himself just ahead of everyone else. grinning to himself he kept working his way through the crowd hoping to get at-least a half decent dorm and a non-insane dorm mate.

Zandrea tilted her head as she watched him jog off "he is very strange...but i believe i like him he would be a good friend to me" she looked to Leilah "if you wish to lead the way to our shared new home by all means and i will follow my new friend" she flipped her white hair from her face and waited for Leilah "you do not think i offended our friend syrax do you, I was marely joking about not trusting him, i did not want to tell him the reason i would rather live with you as my living partner was i dont trust myself" she let out a sigh even that much emotion came off very cold.

"I don't think you offended him." Leilah responded, slowly getting accustomed to the Zandrea's manner of speech. She left it at that with an almost-forced looking smile, showing that her own aloof awkwardness was yet to dissipate. Walking towards the dorm building for the girls, she turned her golden gaze on the other girl again, "Do you have a preference for which level we sleep on?"

Syrax smiled as he wound his way through the dorm building, quickly finding a unoccupied room, slipping inside and closing the door behind him he quickly put his name and dorm number on a sheet to get his luggage delivered by the afternoon. after unpacking his backpack holding a few personal effects and a change of clothes he changed out of the school uniform he'd had to wear to the initiation and changed in to a pair of black trousers and white shirt, with a purple jacket, however the purple was so dark it could be called black, it just depends on how the light shone on it. checking himself in the mirror he quickly brushed his hair to stop it looking a complete train reck and made his way out the hall and down to infront of the dorms.

Zandrea followed close her eyes looking around as they walked "I prefer the upper most floor, but if you prefer closer to the ground I will still follow" she watched as all the other students ran around busy and having fun meeting new people and old friends. "Leilah my friend, what do you suppose we do after we find our living quarters and meet back up with our friend syrax?"

"I'm alright with one of the upper floors, Zandrea. I like the views from them better, because I can usually see more." Leilah nodded, opening the door to the dorm for the other girl, before heading inside herself and towards the stairs. "Hmm... We could always explore the grounds a little and then head for dinner?"

She started up the first of several flights of stairs to the top floor. When they at last reached their destination, Leilah began walking down the first hall, closest to the front of the building. Midway down, she found a door that was not yet marked with occupants' names. Knocking and receiving no reply she opened the door. It was, indeed, empty. Turning to her new roommate she asked, "How about this one?"

Zandrea stepped into the dorm and looked around slowly walking towards the window looking outside, stepping back she walks to one of the beds in the room and lays down "I think we have found our new place to live my friend" Zandrea gave what looked to be a smile to Leilah "what do you think my friend?" she sat up now sitting on the edge of the bed crossing her long legs her hand lightly running across the bed behind her.

((Sorry for the three day lul))
Syrax stood after a while and started to wonder round, looking around the local area to see if he could find anything intresting, other than a few suspiciously placed trees and a back way in and out of both dorms he shrugged and went back to waiting for the girls.

"I like it." Leilah smiled a little, staring out the window and over the school grounds. She pulled a pen from her pocket and found the paper they were meant to mark their names on to use to tag their door. Quickly she scrawled out her name in slanting, just legible letters before passing it to Zandrea. "Shall we mark the door and then go meet Syrax?"

taking the paper she wrote in her name under Leilah's and got up putting the tag on the door "we have ourselves a home while we attend school my friend, let us meet with Syrax and look around the ground together" she brushed back her white hair from her eyes and stepped out into the wall and looked at the tag she just put up and of all things a smile crossed her often stone like face.

Syrax had managed to get himself on to one of the walls around the dorm rooms, though he wasn't sure what he was intending to do now he was up there. he'd had a vague idea before hand but now he was just wondering how to get back down, and at this rate the only option was jump, and he didn't like that idea, not only because he wasn't the best at landing but because he felt like it would just end badly. so he balanced on the top of the wall and started walking along it, looking down both sides, wondering what it was ment to keep out. or in.

Leilah was a little surprised to see a smile cross the other girl's face and decided that Zandrea should do so more often. It was quite pretty. She returned the smile with one of her own, somewhat guarded ones and followed her roommate into the hall, "Let's do that. A healthy dose of exploring before classes start getting in the way of it seems like a good plan."

She stretched her arms above her head before letting them fall lightly by her sides as she drifted back toward the steps. My friend... She wondered at Zandrea's words. Had she really made a new friend so quickly? Could she really trust her new roommate to be her actual friend? The young Egyptian girl was entirely unsure. Everything her mother had raised her with said 'no,' but her own instinct told her it was possible, if not quite probable. She toyed with the ring on her right ring-finger, spinning it a little, but keeping it firmly in place as was typical of her nervous habit.

Zandrea walked back the way they came as they went to meet back up with Syrax, Zandrea watched as Leilah was seemingly in thought her cold as stone eyes glancing to the ring she spun on her finger "once we meet back up with our friend Syrax where shall we venture? we do not have class until tomorrow morning so we should make our first night as new friends memorable do you not think?" Leilah own nervous twitching made Zandrea reach and lightly bat at her earrings that kept her in human form, but for her it was also the fact she never spent so much time in the day before and it was starting to drag on her, she yearned for the dark once again.

Syrax sighed and sat down on the wall. what was taking the girls? surely they wern't that badly overburdened. he then remembered. "Makeup" he said outloud. "women and makeup." he sighed. "Well I best get comfortable, I'm in for the long haul" he said and settled down on the wall. fully expecting to wait another hour before the girls finished 'doing their makeup'

"Hmmm... Perhaps just wander which ever way the mood strikes us? After all, we've never been here before. That in itself should be memorable, no?" Leilah mused aloud to Zandrea, opening the door out of their dorm building. Immediately she began to scan for Syrax and found herself unable to locate him on the ground outside of the buildings. She wondered what might be keeping him, typically she hadn't known boys to take any extra time on anything like unpacking, picking rooms or getting ready. At least, that is, her cousins never had. Those were really the only boys she had had a lot of contact with... Only people, when she stopped to think about it.

It was when she started to lift her gaze skyward that she finally noticed him. He was sitting atop the wall around the dorms. She moved to point him out to Zandrea if she hadn't already seen him, "I wonder what he's doing up there?"
