Jack yawned , he was still half asleep and was wondering why Ianto wasn't up. He knew that Ianto was normally up by now and bringing him coffee. He needed it to wake up a bit. He couldn't help but worry, maybe something was wrong. He didn't usually approve of slacking off and wouldn't be impressed if that was the case.
Deciding he would need to get his own coffee Jack got up and went to get a cup. He knew Ianto had fallen asleep in his bed last night, He walked back to his bedroom and he headed in.
"Ianto are you awake.?" he didn't want to force him out of bed if something was wrong. Jack himself hadn't really slept all that much and had slept on the sofa, he knew Ianto had been too exhausted to go home last night.

It was going to be a long day , he knew everybody else was working by now. He waited to see if Ianto would answer him. He ran a hand threw his hair for a bit and was thinking.

Ianto had tried to get up and make coffee for himself and Jack but standing up had not been a good idea, his head was heavy and pounding and his body felt weak. He found himself curling back up in bed moaning softly.

He was unsure of how much time had passed when Jack came into his room. The Welshman groaned. "S-sorry, I'm gettin' up," he assured Jack but could not get further than sitting up.

The immortal walked over to the bed, He noticed that something was wrong. He frowned a bit. " Are you ok?" He asked him. He didn't think that Ianto looked too well. He noticed Ianto could only sit up.
"Something is wrong isn't it?" He knew that even if Ianto said no that something was wrong. Expect he had no idea what what was bothering Ianto, only that the welshman wasn't himself. He leaned over to feel his forehead.

Ianto tried to batJack away. "Stop it, I just have a cold or something, not enough to stop me from working." With determination he swung his legs off the bed and stood up. He ignored the cramps in his stomach and his head was aching head he managed to get to the wardrobe and begin to get his clothes out. "I'll make coffee when we get to work," he saidpulling on a shirt.

Jack watched him for a moment. His expression firm "A cold doesn't leave you barely able to get out of bed, No your taking a day off." his voice was firm, He was worried encase Ianto had caught something from the mission he was on. "I had coffee, wasn't nice like you make it, but your clearly not up to working." He sighed seeing Ianto's determination, he did love that about him, but now wasn't a good time for it. "Or do I need Owen to confirm that."

Ianto took a monent to lean on the wall before pulling out a suit, shirt and tie. "I am not letting Owen touch me," he growled slipping his pants on over his boxer shorts and shrugging his shirt on. A sheen of sweat already covered gis body from the effort to get this far.

Jack knew he would say that, he could see Ianto wasn't looking well "I knew you'd say that." He sighed "I don;t want you working today.' He was sure Ianto would collapse if he didn't stop him, he still spoke firmly.

"I'll just be in tge archives nothin' too hard sir," he assured Jack fumbling to button up his shirt. By the time he had finished with the buttons sweat patches were already appearing on the white cotton and he could not straighten up off the wall.

Jack sighed "sometimes your determination is good, But right now Id rather you stay in bed and we need to find out what is wrong, you were fine yesterday so I don't understand how you are this weak so fast." He knew it couldn't be good.

Ianto gave up trying to secure his tie around his neck and just slumped against the wall sweating. "It's so hot in here," he complained tilting his head back.

Jack was looking at him "Not really, You probably have a fever, which I was trying to check for." He wondered if there was any fever reducing medicine around. He knew he needed to find out what was wrong with Ianto, though seeing the other man was determined to get dressed, he helped him with his tie. "I'm still not letting you work." He looked rather serious.

Ianto let his head roll forward once again and he looked at Jack sweat covering his face as he nodded not even bothering to fight Jack anymore. He was too weak, he wondered if he could even make it back to the bed.

Jack sighed and helped him back to the bed, He wondered what creatures Ianto had been up against recently. He let him lay down and went to get a wash cloth and dampened it before he lay it across Ianto's forehead. He knew it will be hard without Owen's help. He also went and looked for a good medical scanner.

Ianto let Jack take him back to the bed and lie him down. He loosened his tie as he lay back on the bed feeling weak and tired. His eyes fluttered closed as the other man put the cloth over his forehead.

Jack was rather worried, he hadn't seen Ianto this ill before, He took out the medical scanner and checked him over with it. He was sure he could only let Ianto rest at this stage, Until he could find out what was wrong.

Ianto curled up in the bed pulling the blankets close as Jack ran the scanner over him.

Jack frowned when the results seemed bad, but no indication of what the illness was. But the vital signs were all over the place and he was sure Ianto would be dead in 24hrs unless he did something. He gulped and said nothing. He felt his heart ache, He couldn't loose him, "Ohh Ianto what happened to cause this." He sighed.

Ianto swallowed. "Aren't you meant to tell me? You have the scanner," Ianto pointed out a weak smirk touching his lips.

"I would........ but it is not giving an answer as to what, Only that your body is failing you.... ," Jack refused to cry, He didn't want Ianto to see him upset. He didn't know what to do. He was determined to save him.
