Maya adjusted her sunglasses as her driver pulled up to the apartment complex where the experiment was going to be held. She looked out the window at the building before grinning. Her driver opened the door for her, and she got out of the vehicle. She once again looked at the building, with sunlight reflecting off the edge of her pointed shades. She was also wearing a black fedora. One of the other actresses said they'd make her look cool and stuff, so she decided to go ahead and wear them. She had no reason not to trust that particular co-worker, and she wanted to look nice when meeting her partner. Before her driver got back into the car to park it somewhere reasonable, he asked, "Miss Ridley, did you do as your father requested?"
She frowned at him and narrowed her eyes. "Jeeves, I'll be getting my motorcycle license soon." she said before grinning at the driver, making a complete 180 in her demeanor. "I watched you driving the entire way here! " she said. Truly, she was a good actress. The driver nodded before getting into the vehicle and driving off. Maya's grin relaxed into a small smile before she went towards the building, adjusting her fedora on the way in.
Akihiko smiled to himself, knowing that today was the day that he'd be able to make someone happy. He had always believed that he was made to bring happiness to others, and this was the day he would see if it was true. His initial programmer told him as much, but also gave him a hard drive to protect. It would explode if anyone ever tried to see its contents, or so he was told. He had no reason not to trust the ones who created him. ... He thought about the kinds of people he'd meet, and who he would be sent home with. It really excited him. The thought of meeting new people tended to always thrill him to bits.
