The joke, however, went completely over Cinead's head. Instead of finding the statement of her teaching him dancing amusing, he instead seemed to grow thoughtful as he contemplated the idea. After mulling it over for a little while, he finally nodded his head. "that sounds rather enjoyable. I've always wanted to learn how to dance." He concluded, closing her door and stepping around to the trunk with her. As Anna opened it up, he looked over the contents before nodding his head once again. "I can do that willingly." He said, reaching in and pulling out three of the bottles of soda. After a quick moment of thought, he pulled out the last as well, easily situating them to carry in his hands and pinned between his arms and sides. Before Anna could object, he started heading in the direction he could hear a soft musical beat drifting from, something human ears might not have caught.

Anna watched him as he thought. She almost figured he already knew how to dance and he was just thinking of a comeback until her nodded and said he would love to learn how to dance. That was a surprise. "Oh, sure. I wouldn't mind teaching you a thing or 2." She followed him to the back and opened the trunk. "Ok, just take 3 bottles and I'll handle the rest." She got the chips as he took the sodas and almost didn't notice him take the 4th and start heading to where he thought the party was. "Hey! I'm supposed to carry one of those!" She laughed jogging after him.

Cinead merely chuckled in response to her protestations, though he did consciously slow his steps so that Anna wouldn't have to struggle to keep up with him. He glanced down at her as the shorter woman reached his side, giving her a slightly cheeky grin for the briefest of instances. "oh, I'm aware of that. But with how small your hands are, carrying one bag of chips might be more than you can handle." He teased, Feeling more comfortable with the joking after spending so much time in Anna's company.

Anna was silently thankful of Cin slowling down a little. At that rate he was originally going, she would have gotten her exercise of the month. She playfully glared up at him when he made fun of her hand size. "I don't wanna hear it from Mr. Big Hands over here!" She laughed. "You jerk! Gimme a bottle~!" She pretended to whine for good measure. She had enjoyed the fact that he was slowly opening up more and more to her.

"Hmm." Cinead seemed to consider, glancing down at Anna with a thoughtful expression. Then he resolutely shook his head in a negative. "I don't think we should risk the chips getting crushed." He concluded, rearranging the bottles of soda so that he was holding two in each hand. Then he lifted the bottles up over his head, well out of reach of the shorter woman. "and there's nothing you can say that will make me change my mind."he added for good measure, chuckling softly.

The small woman deepened her playful glare and huffed before trying to jump for the bottles futilely. It was obvious that she wouldn't reach them, let alone pull them away from said huge and very strong hands. "Aw, Cin!!!! I just want one!!! It's not like I'm gonna carry all of them!!" She pretended to beg, giggling after every sentence. It was pretty nice that he was helping like that, but she refused to let him baby her either, which he had noticed and apparently liked to mess with her about.

Cinead couldn't help but laugh right along with Anna, though his were much more muted and brief in comparison. He did, however, eventually relent. Lowering the bottles of soda and separating out one of them to offer to his companion. "fine. But don't blame me if you end up crushing the chips." He warned with a grin.

By this point, the sound of the music had grown much louder, beginning to send out small vibrations through the ground. A few people were milling about out here on the fringes, sorting through what looked to be a few boxes of snacks and drinks, one person even going through a collection of CDs. One of them called out a greeting to Anna when they spotted her, casting a curious and somewhat intimidated look at Cinead, Which the tall man ignored. He was used to such looks by this point, it didn't bother him in the slightest. The fact that it was a man greeting Anna did however. He Felt another stirring of jealousy, but quickly suppressed it. It wasn't as if this man had blatantly flirted with Anna, even with him standing there. Unlike the man at the pizza restaurant...

Anna grinned as he offered her the soda bottle, happily taking it and holding both the chips and the bottle in her arms. "Thank you Cin~." She chirped, chuckling a little bit. They arrived at the party, she even started bopping her head a little to the music that was blasting over the speakers. The party seemed to be in full swing!

"Ay! Anna! You made it!" Rex, the host yelled out, walking over. "Hey, bro! What's up?! Nice party! This is Cinnead! He's my plus one!" "Awesome! Nice to meet you, bro!" Rex extended a hand to the taller man. Anna went to set the chips and soda down. Rex waited until she was out of earshot before speaking again. "...So you're Anna's boyfriend? Don't you dare hurt her, or I'll hurt you." He threatened.

Carefully, so as not to drop any of the bottles, Cinead rearranged what was left of the soda in his arms so that he could except the extended hand and give it a brief shake. "it is nice to make your acquaintance." He murmured politely. As Anna moved off to set down her contribution to the snack selection, Cin had just turned to follow after her when the man he had just been introduced to stopped him, a serious expression on his face.

"... So you're Anna's boyfriend? Don't you dare hurt her, or I'll hurt you." The man threatened, causing Cinead to instinctively stiffen, A bubble of a growl catching in his throat before he could release it. Instead, the dragon shape shifter turned a glower on Rex, Fighting back the urge to curl his lips back from his teeth.

"I would never dream of causing any degree of pain to Anna. And I would happily tear anyone to shreds who would do such a thing." He rumbled in his deep voice before resolutely turning away from the man and marching over to the table where Anna had set down her chips and soda bottle. Part of him quietly wondered why he hadn't corrected the mistaken information of his being Anna's boyfriend, but the greater part of his mind was still irritated that anyone would think he was capable of causing her pain. He hadn't been worried about receiving pain himself, he doubted any human could cause much more then minor scratches if even that, but he was troubled that the stranger would make the assumption that Cin would be eventually planning on hurting Anna... Had she been hurt by someone before? The very idea had a small growl Breaking passed his control and he set down his bottles with perhaps a little more force than needed, one of the sodas falling over onto its side.

Anna had been in her own world for a minute, not noticing Rex trying to threaten Cin because of whatever he had heard about Cin that led him to believing that they were an item. Rex and her had been good friends for years, so he had grown a bit protective over her and vice versa.

Rex had been firm in his command/threat until Cin basically he shut him down and stomped away. His face morphed into one of fear when the guy glowered in his face. Cin basically left him stunned with his speech, soon scrambling to get back to the DJ booth before the tall man came back to make sure he understood or something.Anna looked up when Con came over and had gotten herself a small bowl of snacks while she was waiting for him. "Hey Cin! Want some chips or pretzels?" She offered the bowl to him with a smile. She jumped a little when he kind of slammed the soda onto the table. "Is everything ok..?"

Cinead retrospectively realized that Anna had been offering him something in a paper bowl she was holding, but had been so absorbed with his irritation that he hadn't registered the question. Blinking once, he was able to listen to her second question, looking towards her face and seeing the look of concern that she adopted. He huffed quietly, giving his head a shake. "Everything is... fine. I just heard something that was irritating. Nothing to worry about." He soothed, lifting his lips in a smile just for her. Before she could pursue the matter, he quickly changed the subject. "enjoying your snack?"he asked, lifting an eyebrow at the bowl in her hands.

Anna watched him as he watched her. She saw his eyes soften a little after a second. Hopefully whatever irked him wasn't too bad. She only turned her back on him for a few seconds and now he was upset. The short girl felt bad, knowing this was most likely his first party. Anna had been almost certain that the taller had really strict parents or something. He explained that he was fine as well as vaguely explaining what happened. He smiled back at him before offering the bowl again. "You sure you don't wanna try any of these snacks? They're delicious~?" She chuckled. "They may not be the best compared to your favorite meal, but they're still good!" She reassured.

Cinead's hazel gaze once again dropped to the bowl in Anna's hands, warily eyeing The mixture of chips and pretzels. Well, he had tried pizza of all things for her, why not this as well? "of course I'll try some."he agreed, putting emphasis on the word try. Nothing said that he was going to find the crunchy food delicious, like she did. Reaching out, Cin selected a few of the different chips and a couple of the pretzels, planning on trying them one at a time. He started with the least appealing, a triangular shaped chip that was orange in color and smelled strange to his nose. Figuring that it was better to get it over with quickly, he put the entire chip in his mouth at once and bit down into it. To his great astonishment, he really liked it. "Mmm. What was that? It's really good!"he asked, automatically scanning the table for more of the orange chips.

Anna guessed that Cin was a hardcore meat water or something. Most of the food he liked had some form of meat in it, or at least that's what she noticed. She nodded to his statement, knowing he meant well and was most likely only trying it because she insisted in the first place. She had to admit that she had to dial back on the pushiness a little bit. He had soon found that he liked Doritos, asking for more and looking for the bag. "Oh! Those are Doritos! I'll get you a bowl!" She chirped, reaching for a bag of the orange chips. "Try the others!" Anna encouraged.

Cinead couldn't help but snort softly at the name. "Doritos? What a strange name." He mused, Glancing back down at the remainder of the chips in his hand. He chose another of the traditional chips, this one more of an oval shape with a crinkled texture. Popping it into his mouth with a little less hesitation, he was never the less disappointed. This chip was rather bland in comparison to the first. This one seemed to have more of a potato flavoring to it, which meant it reminded him more of the tuber itself, something he ranked closely with vegetables. Shrugging his shoulders, he finally tried one of the twisted pretzels, Enjoying it a little more then the potato chip, but not by much. "... Thank you for getting me some more of the Doritos." Cin thanked Anna, feeling slightly sheepish that he hadn't given his gratitude to her sooner. "and thank you for inviting me to come with you tonight. I'm looking forward to learning how to dance together."

Anna shrugged at his statement about the name of the nacho flavored chips. "Hey, I didn't name them." She laughed, pouring some into the bowl. She watched him try a chip and a pretzel, noticing they both weren't his complete favorite. It was fine since he tried them before forming his opinion. "It's not a problem, Cin." She nodded, peeking up when she heard what new song was playing. "Oh!!! I love this song! Dance with me, Cin!!" She grabbed his hand, ignoring the feelings she got for it and dradggd Cin towards the dance floor. The music was extremely loud on the dance floor.

"I wasn't accusing you of naming the chips." Cinead teased lightly, Releasing a soft laugh. Brushing his hands free of crumbs, he had just reached for the full bowl of Doritos when Anna's face quite abruptly lit up, An expression of joy crossing her face. She set aside the bowl and grabbed his hand, exclaiming her love of the current song and urging him to dance with her, pulling him out into a throng of people already dancing. Immediately, Cin Felt flustered, unsure of what to do. He glanced around at some of the other couples, hoping to get a few hints, before looking down to his companion for help. "of course I'll dance with you... How would I go about doing so?"he asked, the vibration of music in his bones making it hard to think clearly.

Anna rolled her eyes in amusement. "Seems like you are, you meanie." She joked lightly. After dragging him onto the dance floor, she started bouncing to the beat. "Alright Cin! Just move your body to the beat! Let me see what I'm working with!" She said loudly so he could hear her over the music. It might've been a bit hard, but hopefully he could. The other couples were all moving together to the beat in their own style. There wasn't much one could learn from them unless they were looking for new moves to add to their own arsenal.

Cinead had absolutely no problem in picking out Anna's words as she shouted to him, despite the shattering music. This close to her, she could have whispered and he still would have understood. But that was one fact that he wasn't planning on giving away anytime soon. He thought over her request as he silently mused to himself before he gave his head a nervous bob. He then proceeded to perform an awkward sort of shuffling step, tapping his feet in time with the music and giving a counter sway to his upper body and arms, his head bouncing along with the beat. It was just as embarrassing as he thought it might be. He wondered silently if he looked as foolish as the freshman students that he had seen the first day he had met Anna, bouncing around like crazy during the lunch hour. He hoped that it was dark enough that the shorter woman couldn't see the unexpected color that flooded to his cheeks...

She relaxed a little bit. He seemed to have heard her. She observed his movements, thinking on something easy she could show him so he wasn't too confused on the idea of dancing. She wasn't the best dancer herself, but she could copy moves and pretend she could pretty well. At least, in her opinion. "You're doing pretty well!" She started to copy him, with a more fluid bobbing. "Ok, in a bit, you're gonna pause for a sec and go the other way!" She instructed, demonstrating to a new part of the beat. Soon enough, she was going back and forth every minute with the beat. "You try!!"
