And this person...this entity speaking to me, through these words, it boggles my mind! Undescribable shapes and forms appear infront of my eyes, forming into sentences, yet their true means escapes my grasp.

Btw guys, I simply love how the colour for Faye Desdemona went from red, to pink-purple-ish and back to red xD The colour-writing isn't as easy as it seemed to before.

I'd like to ask you all a quick question, dear investigators; how do you think/feel/want the combat do be, because there is certain to be some form of violence involving you guys sooner or later? How much do you want to focus on it? Just a very brief description of the fight, or the possebility for having the creatures fight back in more detail? Since the core of Lovecraft's works revolves more on psycological aspects than physical ones, I just wanted to run it through you.

Hmmm... I am guessing since this is a casual game that most would be up for simply writing the combat scenes or you NPC'ing the foes. Would anyone actually be up for dice rolls instead?

Dice rolls might make it interesting - it sorta removes the 'lol my character/NPC dodges everything' problem and gives combat an element of unpredictability.

@gohKamikazeThat's true. Although, I am sure our players in this thread are way better than that. I am sure no one would behave in such a way.

Still, dice rolls would be interesting for the unpredictability factor.

The D&D DM in me might be biased, but I like dice rolls. To go about it the other way - the times when you DO accidentally punch a shoggoth or a cultist through the face might make it worth it, even if your death/total insanity becomes imminent.

Now that I'm actually back from the grave and can reply, I'm personally in favour of doing it without rolling the dice. I personally thing that we'll have no problem deciding what happens and who gets hurt/killed. Have the dice would have made it random, but really, nothing in this RP is random *Dun-dun-duh!*, and I have faith in you all!

Sorry I've been away for so long, my dad dragged me down to the cabin for us to work a bit, so been without internet ever since. But now I'm back! Sadly I'm still waiting on T Risket to finish our collab. @gohKamikaze Hopefully you'll have Barry to interact with soon!

@RBYDarkGood, because I've already dispatched a Dark Young of Shub-Niggurath to his adress. No reason to make it bloodier. He was afraid of being abscent before, so his absence is noted and accepted for now. I have no idea if I spelled absent correctly, haha!
