I do not understand how I didn't find this place earlier.

Hi, call me Flam. Why am I called Flam? WELL!

tl;dr

"Flam is a term used in drumming. It's similar to a standard two hand full stroke, yet you delay you're left or you're right (only one) stick by a noticeable fraction and you get a delayed beat, sort of like a short concise echo of the first stick hitting said drum piece.

In my musical production years ago, (no last year) I had to hit the last two 'FLAMS' on the end of the song we were playing 'Twist and Shout baby' and there you have it! My teacher called me Flam because I wasn't getting the ending right :') "

Anyways nice to join this community I guess? I can be a bit of a lollygagger, and I sometimes can go missing for a month, but ALWAYS WITH DUE NOTICE! Bit of an unorganized mess, but writing is a passion amongst other things!

This site is pretty straight forward (and I think you'll enjoy it). There's 3 kinds of main group RP's.
Free, which is kind of the E for Easy going RP's. Casual, which has a fair amount of writing but not strict. And Advanced, which has a good amount of writing and for people who have been writing/role playing for awhile. Then there are the Nation RP's which have you making continents and governments and countries to RP with in a storytelling/strategy mixture. And there is 1x1 if you just want you and a partner. And then there is the Tabletop like regular D&D, and finally the Arena for combat RP's.

Ok, if you want to join/make an RP. Here is usually the layout. The "Interest Checks" are for people to post their RP ideas. Then when they have a fair amount of players, they create the threads that are located up in Free, Casual, Advanced, etc. Those threads are split up into IC (in character, for actual RP postins), OOC (out of character, to discuss ideas and say you are interested in joining) and CS (character sheets, where you post finished characters).

@POOHEAD189 Thanks for the advice, even though I kind of checked over the whole site before signing up ;)
I haven't role played in about 2 years, (due to my friends forum that had been up for 14 years or so shutting down back then )

Yet this forum is pretty much the exact same format, and seems like a larger community! I will be very comfortable here, as the rules are strict but just and everyone seems nice. Or well respectful?
