Brunhilde simply stood silently, waiting for the next segment of the lesson. When Avarius was tipping the green powder into the pool, she felt she had been missing something horribly simple for years.
"It is not quite a one hundred percent accurate representation but treat your hand like your will and move the coloured cloud."Images of moving fishing boats and dust clouds where the fishermen had upset the fish filled her mind, and she immediately understood what he was trying to teach her. It was... Stupid. She'd gone years, presumably, without thinking a single time about
low pressure, even though she was surrounded by reminders for a good portion of her childhood. While these thoughts were ticking through her head, her face grew slightly red from a combination of embarrassment, humiliation, and a small hint of self-directed irritation. With the mild mental storm, she didn't notice the new person approaching.
"...Like a boat's wake.""I-I-I can't.... Hold myself any longer"She had started to reach down to demonstrate how the green cloud in the water would split around her hand and swirl along behind it, but was suddenly and unexpectedly interrupted by something warm and much larger than herself grabbing her. Her train of thought derailed, plowed into a small mental village, and burned down the orphanage for important ideas. She yelped in surprise.
...Pink? Very pink. Fluffy pink. It took Brunhilde a moment to realize that this was a person. A person
hugging her, completely uninvited. Still, as rude as it was, it was sort-of nice, and she figured she might as well return the hug.
"Sorry, forgive me, I couldn't contain myself. You look way to cute. I hope you aren't mad."Brunhilde wasn't quite sure how to respond.
"...Er..."She dove for the journal and flipped back to the dossier section, flipped through it rather quickly, and came to the conclusion that this was
not someone she knew.
"Your air controll looks great by the way. I have never seen such a thing before I came here... Oh I forgot but my name is Emi hehe."The walking pink fluffball didn't seem to be a threat. Smelled a little bit odd, but definitely not a threat. Brunhilde checked her journal's most recent entries and discovered that she had recently arrived at the Academy and started her first air elementalism class. Some odd notes about water vapor and running up and down stairs were also there, but they were of no consequence. She flipped back to the dossier section and filled it in as quickly as she could, sketching this new person and slinging in a few colorful descriptive tags, including
'What the hell?',
'Likes hugs',
'RUDE', and
'Friend???'"I'm Brunhilde. I take it you're new here too?"She was in class. Right. ...In class. The last journal entry was written several minutes ago, and mentioned nothing about the rubber pool with the green stuff in it that was nearby. Panic spread across her face as she realized that she'd totally forgotten everything she was doing.
She turned to Avarius without even waiting for Emi's response, rather embarrassed.
"I- I'm sorry. What were we doing again?"@liferusher@Dark Light
