Hey, guys! I'm new to the Roleplayer Guild, so, if I fail at something relating to the thread, that's why.
I wanted to make a thread that starts at a Dragon Ball sort of style, and moderately makes its way up to a level of Dragon Ball Z. As far as characters, plots, and the overall story goes, I mean.

Story:
I think a good place to start is just that everyone's training for a new martial arts tournament coming up in a couple of months. I think this leaves a lot of room for different characters to come in, and perhaps develop with everyone else. After the tournament, we'll immediately enter into our own version of the Demon King Piccolo Saga.
It's okay to be doing your own thing here and there, but I still want things to still be closely related to one another, and all be connected in one way or another. Something that I definitely won't tolerate is several completely different arcs all happening at once. This isn't a kingdom roleplay. Just Saiyan. B|

Rules:
I am sure you all are familiar with basic rules found on just about every thread relating to grammar, out of character fighting, god-modding, and other such things. So I think I'll just list a few things specific for this thread.
1. Cursing should be minimal. I don't have much else to add onto this, just know I don't want your character cursing like a sailor every sentence on every post of yours. If you feel it is necessary dialogue, then it's fine with me if you add it in.
2. I don't mind Saiyans being in this thread, but as I said we are starting around power levels of mid-late Dragon Ball, there's really no need to have them in yet. I think I'll really only allow one right now, everyone thread needs a Goku. XDD...
They'll get their time to shine! No worries! :)
Just try to put your own unique spin on a character.
3. With the last post in mind, every character should come with their own sets of powers, as well as faults. I may ask you to weaken your character if they seem too strong.
4. I am excited to hear all of your guys' thoughts, so please let me know of any villain ideas, or character development you may think of for the thread. All potential main-baddies should be run by me before being roleplayed, though. As this would go against what I said above about several arcs going on at once.
5. Please try to be active, this is something I am especially worried about during things like matches in tournaments. If you are going to be inactive, please let everyone know so we can figure out a way to continue. I appreciate it. X)
6. Don't be afraid to get creative with your character! We don't all have to be Vegeta and Goku, guys. Just Saiyan.
7. However, with the above in mind, most characters from the manga will not appear in the roleplay. They won't even exist, for that matter. XD
Except for a select few that I will choose. Ones that I have decided to for sure appear are Master Roshi, Kami, and obviously Demon King Piccolo. All of your characters should be OCs, if they aren't, well, they won't be accepted. XD
While they have to be OCs, it is okay to make a character to fill a void of someone that appears in the show, you know, with your own little spice added.
8. Man, I feel like I'm forgetting something important.
9. Like, really important.
10. Oh well. If you read these amazing rules, create your own unique combination of the numbers "1234", and put it somewhere in your form(s). There's 24 different orders you can put them in. Use the same for each of your characters, if you make numerous.

One last thing for you guys, before you run off to make your forms (don't know why I'm putting this in rules. It's the rules of the universe, I guess.). Both the Turtle School (of Master Roshi), as well as the Crane School (of Master Shen) exist in this universe. I think I'll just make a good ol' rivalry between the two for the tournament, like in the manga/anime.
