Portland Oregon, like many other areas in the United States (and southern areas of Canada), was one of the locations that the company known as Vault-Tec decided to create fallout shelters in. After the original string of Vaults across the nation, Vault-Tec came to two realizations; that there was going to be actual nuclear fallout, and that there were still more tests on humans to be done and researched. With these two bits of knowledge, they created another sect of vaults from the north-west all the way to the mid west.
Even without the help of the government, Vault-Tec had been given truck-loads of money to make more vaults to keep people safe. Private contractors, rich people who wanted vaults for just themselves and their friends, private military organizations, and so fourth. Vault-Tec could not deny them, and the north-western sect of vaults was created.
One of these many vaults was Vault number one hundred and twenty seven, having been created in secret, and advertised in a similar manner. Those who could crack the codes and find out what was what were given invitations for their families to live in this new vault. The vault itself was riddled with puzzles and passphrases, and as the time passed within the vault, the dwellers grew accustomed to the ever increasing difficulty of the puzzles in their home, birthing smarter and smarter children as the time went on. Not only were there mental puzzles, but physical ones as well, forcing each crop of children to become better than their parents in nearly every way. The overseer test, as it was known to many, was a neigh-impossible test of skills, wit, and smarts that would decide who would take on the overseer position next. If the overseer were to die, then a new one would be chosen at complete random. To those who led the vault, it was known as the Overseer's secret for reasons that the dwellers have yet to figure out.
The Vault was never meant to be opened with the rest of the vaults in the area. When the signal was released, this vault was to much longer after the signal before opening. Unknowingly, the doors to the secret half of the vault were found as well, and every member of Vault-Tec staff was required to merge with the rest of the vault, telling the overseer everything that has been going on, and allow them to do what they will with the vault and it's future. It was time for the rats to released from their cage.
The year is 2377, and something is returning to the world, something that the people of the commonwealth haven't seen in three hundred years.
Green.
The grass is growing, the crops are colorful, but more importantly, Humans are becoming more than what they were. Ghouls and Humans alike, after having existed with radiation for three hundred years, humans are more tollerant to rads, and the Feral Ghouls seem less... Feral. How will the vaulters react to this world that even the people outside aren't even sure of?

If an argument does arise, please move the argument to the Vault-Tec Private Messaging system, and feel free to include an Overseer or General Manager if you wish for them to oversee anything happening.
Please do not hesitate to ask questions to your Overseers, as they will be happy to assist you in any way that they can.
There will be a two (Moderately sized) paragraph minimum for every post that each Vault Dweller creates. One larger paragraph will also be acceptable.
There will not be a set Posting cycle, but please wait for at least three of your fellow Vault Dwellers or companions to post before you do so again. You can request to post again to your Overseer before the buffering is over, however.
