@Archmage MC Well we're just bringing all of our ideas, solutions and other stuff to the shared doc so we can exchange ideas faster. I'm planning on starting the RP off on a different board on the right foot this time, because this one ended up a clusterfuck.

I'll be on the shared doc whenever I'm online and active on this site. So when I am off or not responding, that means I'm busy or at work. I'll be on for almost all day today and tomorrow, but I'll be busy Friday and Saturday (Columbus Pride Festival and Grad Party) and a little busy on Sunday and Monday (Father's Day and cousin's B-day... not to mention work). So yeah. Catch me on the doc. :)

Also I'm gonna change a whole lot of details regarding the 32nd unit. The 32nd unit is what they are at heart, but it's illegal for them to travel to other nations and perform military actions under the Kurdish Flag... so I figured I'll make them a mercenary group that is sometimes often called back to Kurdish duty, and proudly wears the 32nd on them (but are mercenaries for legal purposes).

@Dead Cruiser I didn't give up. I simply wanted a reboot of the RP. While giving up is an easy solution, it's not the best. A whole lot of people want to play this thing, and so do I. We're discussing solutions right now.

Mattias is a guy with a well toned and athletic constitution that weighs 194 lbs and has a height of 6'1". He has shoulder long blonde hair, hazel eyes and a short beard. He has no scars or birth marks but instead he has the tattoo of a cobra snake on his left shoulder blade and the Ford Mustang logo on the back of his neck.

Mattias likes to wear whatever he likes and feels confirtable in. He dosen't like wearing suits and stays away from them. His usual attire consists of t-shirts, plaid shirts, tank tops, leather jackets, hooded sweatshirts, jeans or cargo pants, but mostly jeans and for the feet he'll usually wear boots, sneakers or canvas shoes.

Ursine physiology: Mattias has the ability to transform into a werebear, the transformation granting him various abilities like enhanced strength, endurance, smell, speed, bite, as well as a thick skull, night vision, hunting intuition and environmental adaptation. He can also partially transform revealing only the claws, teeh and the yellow eyes. During the partial transformation he still possesses all of his werebear abilities but they are scaled at a human level instead of a werebear one. He can also regenerate very fast from wounds, unless silver is used against him.

Like all lycanthropes, Mattias is weak to silver. But while a cut from a silver blade or a shot from a gun with silver bullets will hurt like hell, silver in the bloodstream can prove to be fatal. He also possesses a weakness to the moon, making him more hot tempered and volatile and more prone to shift to his bear shape and take dissapear causing mayhem. This happened to him many times before.

Mattias is generally a nice, helpful and friendly guy. He is always sincere and hates to lie or trick people into believing something else then the truth. He is also an authentic that never tried to hide himself behind a false mask displaying something that he is not. He accepted what he is a long time ago and is no longer bothered by it. Neither does he care what others think of him.

He is constantly wrestling with the bear inside him which made him more impulsive and a loner that prefers to keep to himself. He was also very protective of the few friends he had throughout his lifetime and fiercely loyal despite whatever their moral compass showed. He harbors a deep hatred for russians after everything he whitnessed during World War 2 and although that was a long time ago, some wounds never really heal.

Mattias is a werebear. Bears were worshiped in Finnish pagan religions long before Christianity appeared. According to them the bears were higher beings with supernatural powers. Also according to finnish folklore a bear's soul resides within his skull and after it dies the soul transfered itself in something else, sometimes even a human until it was ready to be reincarnated as another bear. If it entered the body of a human however, that person might then take on the traits and behavior of a bear. Whether these are just myths or not the fact is that Mattias turned out as one of these werebears.

Born in 1925 in Finland, Mattias was only 14 years old when World War 2 started. He was too young to enlist in the army and that bothered him. However somewhere around that same time he discoverd that he is different from everyone else. He discovered that he is a werebear. His first transformation was the most intense, and the most painful too. Mattias had little to no control over himself. What triggered the beast whitin him was the sight of dead finnish soldiers, followed by 3 russian soldiers raping a young woman. Mattias slaughtered the 3 soldiers then moved on to slaughtering the whole platoon as well. After he came back to his senses he looked around at the carnage he caused as the woman he saved was dissapearing in the distance.

After that incident Mattias reluctantly returned home but never spoke about the incident with anyone. But his parents and older sister realized that something was wrong with the young Mattias as he started behaving more like an animal, more like a bear to be exact. And there were signs of an obvious struggle going on inside him. They tried talking to him about it but Mattias blatantly refused any kind of discussion about the subject. In 1949, four years after World War 2 ended, Mattias dissapeared during a full moon night. When they got to his room all they found from him was torn pijamas, a devastated room with claw marks on the walls and a broken window from which Mattias supposedly got out. They never saw their son ever again.

As the years passed, Mattias wandered aimlessly through Europe in an attempt to control his inner beast. Attempts which sometimes, were failing. In Poland Mattias stumbled upon a female vampire, by her name, Anita Benkowska. Mattias and Anita despite being of totally different races found a strange attraction for each other. Anita helped Mattias with his attemps to control the beast. Mattias even went as far as making her his mate, which she gladly accepted. A couple of years later she misteriously dissapeared leaving nothing behind, not even a letter. Sad and disheartened, Mattias moved on, deciding to leave Europe for the United States, hoping things will be better there.

In the States during one of his feats of rage, again during a full moon, Mattias discovered the amazing level of respect and admiration that native americans had for bears and always calling it "Grandfather". Mattias decided to remain in one of the native american reservations where he lived a good life for the first time in his life. Last year he decided to move to Miami, Florida where he rented a room in a house in the suburbs.

My best advice is "just run the dang RP." There's nothing wrong with it, maybe just a little character dense, and the mandatory post header is obnoxious. Advance the scene, forget the header, get things going, and all is well. The beginning of the RP is not the time to go "Waiiiiit hang on, let me just start over here." Just power through it, all of this nonsense about changing boards and whatnot is supremely unnecessary.

@Dead Cruiser Yes but you're forgetting that right now there's 15+ people RPing here, 1 GM, and a finnicky post format still in its beta stage. Not to mention a variety of changes that still need to be made. Multiple GMs, a working format and a fully updated and fixed thread while starting off on the right foot would help smooth things out, and would be smooth sailing from there. Right now everything is either just patched or broken, and its driving me nuts.
