The whole room dropped silent as the girl began to lecture them… well Leon mainly. The air seemed to grow instantly tense, outside of Scorpio who was leaning against the wall doing her best not to laugh out loud at the fact that Leon was getting told off. For the first time in a long, long time, Scorpio finally looked at a human as though they were someone she could get along with. Huh, this could turn out interesting.
Curt came up behind Alyssa and looked over at Leon, his large arms crossed over his chest as he watched his superior ponder the situation with, dare Curt think, a look of interest? After a short moment Leon gave a simple nod before going back to his paperwork and no looking up.
Curt gently touched Alyssa on the shoulder. “That’s the most you’re going to get out of Leon but, despite his lack of words or respect, he’s agreeing with your terms. Bear with him; he’s not much of a social person so he’ll probably be this cold and distant for a while.” His voice was soft and gentle in Alyssa’s ear before he gave her a gentle pull in the direction of the door. “Come, let’s get what you need packed.”
When they finally arrived in her home, Curt instantly went to the television. His voice tickled with joy, “You humans are incredible! The things you can do without magic is amazing.” A large hand traced carefully along the side of the television as he spoke sounding almost millennially, “I wish I was human…” Shaking his head, the smile returned to his face and he looked over at Alyssa. “What can I help pack? Coming back is always an option too as long as you’re with the god who is going to open the door. You have to tell us where to go in order for us to connect the door.”
