Transmutation

The user can transform, alter or transmute matter, energy, elements, objects, beings (animals, aliens, mythical beings, etc.), etc into anything else, either completely or partially, permanently or temporarily.

Currently, Amara can only transmute matter, elements and objects temporarily or permanently. She must touch the object in order to transmute it. Every time she transmutes something, it takes up energy so if she does it too much or transmutes on a large scale, she can go unconscious/get very tired. Occasionally, if she’s very angry/upset/feeling a bad emotion strongly, her transmutation can get out of hand and she won’t be able to control it for a period of time.

Retrocognition

The user can discern the past and past events using various means, usually entering a trance while seeing and hearing a noted past event, whether it be concerning themselves or of an unfamiliar lineage in a past occurrence. Occasionally spontaneous.

In order to use this ability, Amara must enter a state of trance with her eyes shut. She will be unable to sense her present surroundings and may, therefore, be in danger while she is in the trance. She must also be in the place of the past event to see it. Occasionally it will happen out of the blue. There is also risk of her being stuck in the past event, going into a coma-like state.

Power Negation

The user can cancel out the powers of others, making them unable to utilize their powers as long as they are under the user's effect.

In order to use this ability, Amara just has to concentrate really hard and her eyes will glow a bright white while she is nullifying the other person’s ability. Currently she can only do this for a short amount of time, the user must be in close proximity to her and could be easily distracted from nullifying the other person’s ability.

Bio: Summer Vacation is a God-send for Amara, giving her a break from University, her nagging parents and irritating sister. She’s been attending the Summer Camp for a number of years now, she doesn’t care much for the people but just enjoys being away from home.
Amara’s a pretty average person, not super clever but not stupid either, average at sports, average at the creative subjects and for a long while thought there was nothing special about her. At the age of 10 she started to discover her abilities and just how special she is. At first, her parents were afraid and pulled her out of school, tried to get help wherever they could. In the end, after a year of being home-schooled, they put her into a new school. Of course there will little mishaps with Amara’s ability, and the school kicked her out for being an Extraordinary. After moving house, they found a school which accepted Extraordinaries. It was at school she found about the Summer Camp, and being adventurous, decided to give it a go.
Now at University, studying History, she still attends the Summer Camp, got herself a Summer job at The White Lion and can’t wait for the events of this year’s camp.

Ability: Wing Manifestation - Josh has a pair of large, white, birdlike wings. He can use his wings to lift himself off the ground to take flight and glide. He can't fly too high, however, as the lack of oxygen at higher elevations would quickly cause him to suffocate. He also needs a wide area to take off and land without risking injury. He normally keeps his wings folded behind his back, but they are always present. While he is able to fly, his skill level is more "gross motor skills" than anything too dexterous. He can take off, land, and fly in straight lines. He hasn't mastered finer things, such as turning or hovering.

Light Manipulation - This gives him the ability to focus the light particles in his vicinity into orbs or beams. The most focused of these manifestations can cause concussive injuries, but doing this quickly drains his stamina. Using this power makes the area around him darker and colder. He has mastered basic shapes, such as orbs, and since these were the only requirements for his "miracles", he never attempted to improve, either by experimenting with different shapes and forms, or with varying intensities. In other words, his abilities are rather basic.

Light Healing - He is also able to focus light particles for the purpose of healing others. This power doesn't seem to affect his own body, however, and once again, using it too often or in too high of concentration drains his stamina. He is quite skilled at recognizing wounds and injuries, and he can heal most injuries with his abilities. He is completely unable to heal lethal wounds; the more intense the wound, the more time and energy it takes for him to heal.

Weaknesses: Josh is at a very confusing point in his life right now and his willingness to "go against the grain" could possibly be exploited. While he is slow to anger, it is difficult for him to calm down afterward. He tends to see things in black and white, and he's very self-conscious about his wings, and worries about hitting people or objects win them.

Bio: Joshua is the only son of an evangelical pastor and his wife. Because of several complications with the pregnancy, no one was sure that Josh would even survive to come to term, so when he did, his parents considered it a miracle. Then, as if by divine design, their child pretty much became the angel that they had thought he was! From an early age, the winged child would be taken to service after service, and made to perform small "miracles" using his light manipulation abilities. To the devout, Josh was seen as a messenger from God, while those who were more cynical merely saw the whole thing as a sideshow performance.
Josh grew up knowing only the church and its ways, and he had taken to it, like any good angel would...though he could never, for the life of him, reconcile his personal moral compass, and God's alleged love for all living things, with the atrocities that he knew happened in the world on a daily basis. This internal conflict came to a head when he turned 18.
He and his family were at a service, and Josh was laying hands on a sick, elderly woman. Outside, he and the rest of the congregation heard a loud commotion. A few of the churchgoers, including Josh, ventured outside to see what was the matter, and found themselves confronted with an anti-Extraordinary demonstration. Upon seeing Josh, the crowd turned angry and belligerent, accusing Josh and his family of being "freaks" and "charlatans". Josh's father stepped forward to attempt to quell the angry crowd, and was struck with a blunt object for his trouble.
This set Josh over the edge. He stepped forward, gathering as much light energy as he could around him while quoting bible verses about the wrath of God and calling himself "the Hand of Righteousness". He unleashed the energy he gathered, injuring several of the protesters and even some of the congregation.
When he saw what he had done in his blind fury, he felt extremely guilty and immediately turned himself in to the authorities, where he spent time in the local jail. While there, he had a lot of time to reflect on his actions, and the life which had led him to this point. He decided then and there that he wanted out. He wanted a new life, and to be beholden to no one but himself.
His parents were oddly accepting of his decision, and it was here that the prospect of the Summer Camp was brought to his attention. A place where he could be among his own kind? And maybe sort out his life?
He couldn't wait to sign up!

Ability: Umbrakinesis (The ability to manipulate shadows and darkness). Weaknesses include: Bright lights especially coming from all around her so there are no shadows, pitch blackness since she needs at least a little light for the shadows to take shape, She also has a hard time using her ability when it comes to consciously using her ability and there are reflections of light like in a mirror. She is not very good at controlling her ability but when she needs to she uses it anyway. She uses her ability when in danger or sometimes during play, she is barely learning to condense it down consciously into a ball.

Weaknesses: Bright light, athletics, dry air and hot temperatures.

Personality: Well, Yamiko is an angsty girl, plain and simple. She tries to make friends but every person has called her a freak even for an extraordinary. Because of this, she keeps people at arm's length. She is snarky at times but will warm up to those who actually take the time to break down her inner walls or guards she puts up. Despite all her inner turmoil, she is loyal to those who earn it.

Likes: dark colors, swimming at night, and Japanese food.

Dislikes: Pink, Bright light (including the sun), and annoying people.

Bio: Yamiko was born different. Her mother could see this, and hid her from the world. However, this did not hide who she was for very long. She discovered her power at age twelve when she went on a rampage and accidentally killed her father. Her mother contnued to keep her hidden and soon she discovered there was a world outside her home and simply wanted to learn about it. However, one day her mother finally threw her onto the streets with no knowledge of the world or how it worked. Feeling betrayed and angry, she set out on a journey to find out if there were others like her. But she couldn't find any who were willing to teach her. Feeling hopeless, she stumbled upon the camp and asked to learn to control her power.
