Karhide ras dem fall had just finished hosting a meeting concerning a new tax and was now lounging about the palace harassing servants and abusing (you can decide what that means) the maids. Eventually he decided to retire to his quarters when his Minister of Internal Politics addressed him.

"Afternoon sir! I have urgent news you must hear!"
"What?"
"Well We have gathered enough evidence suggest that your cousin Radeth ras de Sull will attempt a trade embargo resulting in significant losses in your personal bank!"
"Kill him" Karhide said lazily
"S-Sir?"
"Don't bloody argue with me boy just do it!"
"That may not-"
"What!? It may not be wise? Not strategic? Not diplomatic enough? I don't bloody care boy! I am your king so do it!"
The minister sunk back into a corner "yes sir"

The young chieftaness of the city of Intik, Gelvira, stood solemnly before the council of elders. While she had accended with her father's death, it was now that she would be named the true ruler. The council chattered among themselves, the usual talk of the elders. Gelvira was nervous, ascension to the throne at 17 was by no means uncommon, but it was of concern in the thoughts of foreign policy. It is worried that non Velitii nations would not take the new ruler seriously, although a strong ruler would not be of concern, for the young girl would surely be a strong ruler like her family before her.

"Do you vow, young Gelvira, daughter of Hathus and Liuva, to defend our city of of Intik from the other peoples of this vast tundra, and to keep the peace with the nations far beyond our borders, so long as they remain a useful friend?"

Gelvira gave a nod and a bow to the Elders, "I do, for you and for all the people of our home."

The council took from behind them a silver crown, a simple knotted silver wire, embedded with jade stones. "Then for the glory of our people, you will be our chief, the new daughter of the Sun himself."

As the crown was placed on Gelvira's head, the silver wire blended seemlessly with her snow white hair and purely pale skin. She stood and took from her belt the ancestrial dagger of Intik. The Council took out their own knives, all crafted from the finest Bronze, and walked over to a pit of crude white dye. Here, the council men sliced open their hands, allowing the blood to pour into the basin, dying the white dye first pink, and then crimson. After this, Gelvira cut her own hand, adding her blood to the dye.

Gelvira then stripped naked, and her clothing was placed into the dye basin. She was to stir her clothes in the basin, dying her normally white clothing a bright blood crimson. After the dying was complete, the girl dressed herself in the freshly dyed, still wet clothing, and was dressed further in gold and copper jewelry, and given the old bronze sword of the chief, and the traditional coak of the chief, a hooded cloak, dyed blueish green with copper.

Arising from the coronation, Gelvira was now the ruler of the Velitii city of Intik, and now she was to make her rule known.

The Mtrcen was ablaze with discussion and shouting, hundreds of parties attempting to state their claims and forward their viewpoints. What with all this chaos could possibly be the topic? There was no topic, this was simply a regular gathering of the Mtrcen to discuss the interior of the country, and to resolve current issues. In the center was the middle-aged Mtrpdr-Krkkr, sitting on his elevated stand, pensive in a certain topic. Thousands cried out, asking and demanding things from the new Mtrpdr, expecting revisions in their ways. The common topics were eventually gathered, as were their common opinions, such as the advancement of torture and funding, yet Krkkr had something else in mind. Krkkr stood, and the Mtrcen fell instantly silent.

Krkkr hesitated, then said "What if we explore- What if we explore... The outerlands?"

The Mtrcen remained silent, isolation was the only solace of the Theocracy, expansion and exploration of the otherland was not only looked down upon but simply weird among the Praatl-vndr. But, for the Mtrpdr to speak of it, was it heresy, or something else?

The crowning of a new leader was of significance for the people of Intik, with the terrace farmers in both excitement and nervosity, for a new leader meant a day of rest, and a communal feast, however it meant that much food must be provided. This was a good time however, with Intik just having annexed the Mountain of Hildenfuns from the nearby city of Anzo, which was in itself a weak border town ripe for the taking. With Anzo under the Intikese banner, the people may have a chance to gain superiority over the other city-States.

But all of that was of no concern for the common farmer, who was content to work the terraces, growing life literally into the face of a mountain. More conquest meant more land, and more land meant more money. It also meant more metal, more copper for the taking, and cheaper tools to work with.

However, back in the inner sanctum of Intik, Gelvira was consulting a new aid in what to do about Anzo. His name was Thurismund, and he had been leader of the Intik Phalax since before Gelvira was even born.

"So, that is the plan, you hold the festival, conduct the obligitory ceremony to the Sun, while the Army and I take Anzo before the feast is even over."
"Yes, Anzo is at the frontier of the mountains, with it, we may even be able to conduct regular trade with non-Velitii nations."
"Exactly, just leave it to me, and this will pass with ease"
