I was going to reveal it in my next post, but all of Chugo's men have set up their yurts in the middle of the streets and are just generally being nuisances in the taverns and brothels.

Maybe you should mention this in your upcoming post when they try to figure out what to do ;p

Is it even known that the king was murdered? Frapet makes a good point, how much do our characters actually know about the circumstances surrounding his death

Alright, let me clear out some of the rumors here:

The king had multiple advisers and one of them stabbed him in the back (poisoned) for a large amount of gold paid by... nobody really knows.
The guilty adviser was killed whilst trying to escape by three arrows in his back.
The local guard is trying to trace the origin of the gold back, but is having trouble with it.

The new emperors uncle was/is also an adviser and rumors are going around that he might have paid the other adviser to murder the king, but those are just... ya' know... Rumors!

For some added intrigue there might be previous relations between the Driftmark, Belintash and Dieuporteille due to the Driftmark lying on the primary road between them. Maybe that the Mark has repeadetly tried to strike deals for keeping the roads safe or something?
