Welcome, welcome! This is a roleplay that is open to ANYONE WHO WISHES TO JOIN. Just thought I'd get that out of the way first to leave out any lingering thoughts as to whether this is private or not. What exactly is this roleplay, you ask? This is a roleplay based in a very similar universe as the anime known as 'Kenichi: History's Strongest Disciple'. I want to point out that you really don't need any sort of knowledge of the show, just the basic direction of what we're going for in the roleplay. I also want to mention that currently, I only plan on one character from the show actually existing in the universe, and that character is...

NIIJIMA! All other characters from the anime and manga will not exist in the universe currently, previously, or in the future of this roleplay. Characters can definitely be heavily based on other characters, I really don't have too much of a problem with that, just sayin'.
A partial quote of a summary on Wikipedia: "The story focuses on Kenichi Shirahama, a 16-year-old high school student and a long-time victim of bullying. At the beginning of the story, he befriends transfer student Miu Fūrinji; and desires to become stronger, he follows her to Ryōzanpaku, a dojo housing several masters of diverse martial arts, led by her grandfather Hayato Fūrinji. After learning basics from Miu, Kenichi overcomes a high-ranking member of the school's karate club, and becomes a target for all the delinquents in the school. While initially training to protect himself, Kenichi eventually becomes a full disciple of Ryōzanpaku, and becomes enamored of Miu. Subsequently, Kenichi's daily routine is divided between training under the six masters of Ryōzanpaku, and his fights against the members of 'Ragnarok', a gang of bullies trying alternately to recruit or to vanquish him..."
The roleplay will pretty much follow this story to a T, as I don't see any reason to change things, it's fun as it is. We'll get into other, more dangerous, stuff as the RP progresses, though. Somewhere below, I will express types of characters wanted for the roleplay.
Ryozanpaku: This is the name of the dojo where Kiro and Ally train, in case it's ever brought up and you are confused.
Ragnarok: This is the name of the big-bad gang in this district of Japan, it is the main villainous group of the roleplay.
The Eight Fists of Ragnarok: These are the top eight fighters in the gang of Ragnarok, and are usually seen as the leaders of the gang, the first fist being the overall leader, as well as the supposed strongest. Everyone is scared of them, as a single member could wipe out an entire gang by themselves. Just sayin'.
Disciple Class: A lot of masters usually put disciples into three different categories: Low Class Disciple, Middle Class Disciple, and High Class Disciple. The Low Class Disciple is the weakest group of fighters, but can still pick fights with people who don't know a lot about martial arts. Middle Class is a lot stronger than the Low Class Disciple, as a person in this class should be able to take out a Low Class Disciple with a single attack. A High Class Disciple is the point you reach just before being considered a master.
Master Class: These are three different categories as well, going from low to high, I won't bother explaining, as it is the same concept as the disciple classes. If you are wondering, all masters at Ryozanpaku are at a High Master Class, perhaps even pushing the limits of that.
Niijima/Shinpaku Alliance: I am still deciding which to call it, but this will refer to the gang of do-gooders Niijima is putting together to rival against Ragnarok.
The Three of Cards: This is what the fists numbered I-III are called, the most powerful of the Eight Fists, and the only people who take direct orders from the mysterious Sagefist.
Sagefist: The mysterious man behind the curtain, who gives the Three of Cards various (and vague) tasks and orders. He is not to be mistaken as a member of Ragnarok, he just sort of directs them, and helps them stay afloat. He has put the first fist in charge of the gang, and it is rumored that Sagefist even trained him (and him alone, *cough*).
Eight Fists of Ragnarok: So far, I have thoughts for three members of this elite group, and I definitely welcome ideas from you guys if you wish to make some characters. :3
Just something for you guys to know: 1. Each member wears a glove with a number (I - VIII) that corresponds to their position (make sure to put the characters' number somewhere in their form).
2. All of the Fists have adopted the names of legendary beings and figures from Norse mythology.
3. Members at the LEAST can take out fifty men, weapons or not.
4. I recommend giving your character some cool gimmick or style that sets them apart from everyone else.
5. Most characters in the show turn around to become allies to Kenichi, just sayin', so if you want to create a character that will stick around, I'm definitely okay with that. Even the worst of people can turn around. It'll be fun! XD --------------------------------------------------------------------- Masters at Ryozanpaku: I think one or two more masters would be cool to have around to train Kiro. Here's some more guidelines:
1. All masters (at least for most of the roleplay) must be amazingly strong, like, power most characters won't even be able to measure for a very long time.
2. You can't have your master be a master of two or more fighting styles, you may only pick one. The only one who is a master of mixed martial arts, is the Elder, Master Muhai.
3. I will not accept masters who use the same martial arts as already existing masters (if they use the same kind of martial arts as bullies, that's totally fine).
It's really just those two kind of characters I'm looking for, you can make other types of characters, that's totally fine, those are just the ones I'm really searching to have more of in the RP. I will perhaps edit this as needs change. Thanks for reading!
Thinking about the character I designed for this, I like him a good amount, since he is a bit different somewhat from other characters of mine lol granted it is a slightly supernatural martial arts anime.
Backstory: A wondering master, under the name Ikii Roshi. Once had a student who showed talent in his techniques but while that student showed promise, he also showed a darker side that kept growing inside until the day Roshi had to abandon that disciple. In order to take a disciple he normally have them bring him special payment... that a clear pervert would enjoy, to prove one thing for him, that they would enjoy the little things in life, without that he wouldn't dare to teach them. Having just arrived in the same city of Ryozanpaku with an invitation to see if he would be interested in their plan.
Crush: Every lady he sees
Personality: Sporadic, at times can become series and dangerous, while the other half of the time seems to silly, and perverted to be an actual master. though sometimes can be to strict.
Other: Also a Medical Master. (kind of think of Akisame if he was as old if not older than Kensei Ma and was perverted like Kensei, just without the Jujitsu)
Thought I'd tie it into some untold backstory of my other character, which would make more since for why my other character knows what he does of KI techniques, and give more of a reason as to why they would fight lol.
In Kenichi, ki techniques aren't techniques by themselves, they're something advanced you can use to put power behind your attack and defense. You can not know a single martial arts move, and be a brilliant fight with using ki in your attacks, but if you're a master... I don't think it works as well. I think plenty of masters, especially at the level of Ryozanpaku, can know a lot about ki techniques, but I think to say that it's a martial art form by itself is kind of off to me. Like saying a punch or a kick is its' own style, you know? If you're thinking about Odin or the Sagefist being people who used this 'martial arts', then it'd be mixed martial arts, as that's what they put their ki behind. I hope you get what I am saying. If you change it to another type of martial arts, that he can put the ki behind, then he is accepted. Mixed martial arts can't be one, just saying, because that's reserved for the Elder.
Also, guys, I'm going on vacation for a week and a half, and I don't know how much I will be able to reply, so... If things slow down slightly for a little bit, that's why. XD
@rhema13 Eh I was going with the idea of an entire fighting style that was created with the use of Ki but alright it was just a random idea anyways lol, then guess I'll go with some Shaolin Martial arts.
