Samual walked into the hanger where he had asked his crew to gather, carrying a cardboard box. Tra'cha came in behind him. Samual threw the box down on a bench. "Put one of those on." he said to his team. "Those are slave collars that have been modified to vibrate instead of shock." He stuck his thumb under the collar around his neck and mimed putting one on, connecting it in the back.
"We are heading to Jekyll Island. In case you didn't know, it was once a tourist destination, but just after the invasion the Titanans captured it and turned it into a trade center. It's also the largest slave market on the east coast. Once a month, slave traders bring in their extra slaves there and they hold an auction. The next auction begins tomorrow morning. They require that all slaves arrive a day early so that they can be medically scanned and treated for viruses, illnesses, etc., so that gives us about 12 hours before the buyers start arriving.
We will be taking a load of luxury goods to the island for trade, and will play the role of Tra'cha's slaves while we are there. Remember to act the part and react when the collars are activated. Everyone have their collar on?" After he verified that they did have their collars on, he motioned to Tra'cha, who activated the collars. The sides of the collars started to vibrate. "That is the "punish" setting. It's effect is similar to a taser. Remember to act the part when it's activated." Samual faked his muscles locking up and contorted his face as if he was in pain. A few seconds later he motioned Tra'cha again and Tra'cha activated the second level on the collars. The collars began a much more intense vibration. "This is the stun setting. It is a much more powerful shock which will render you unconscious, or nearly so depending on your pain tolerance." Samual contorted his face once more, tighten his muscles, and collapsed onto the floor, jerking violently. After a few seconds, he pretended to pass out, though he continued to spasm a bit.
Tra'cha deactivated the collars and Samual stood up. "We will be able to move about freely, assuming we don't cause any trouble and obey the orders of our 'master'. If we do cause trouble, Tra'cha will have to pay for it, and his name will get attached to security alerts, which we don't want to happen. Most importantly, if you have to cause trouble before we free the slaves, don't use your powers to hurt anyone or destroy property. If you do that, you will be given to the person you wronged and Tra'cha will still have to pay for the damages. I don't want to have to free you from slavery too.
Once we have identified which slaves we are going to try and free, since, unfortunately, the shuttle will only carry forty or so, we'll need to make sure they'll come with us, then, when we're ready, spring them. Tra'cha has a Slave Controller that's been modified to release every collar within 100 meters, so we'll remove the collars before they start running, otherwise they'll just get knocked out. They won't mind if we spend the night in the slave bunkhouse, though, so we can if we want to.
Now, slaves aren't allowed any weapons worse than a knife in the trade post, so leave anything which breaks that law in the shuttle until it's time to complete our mission. We could use a diversion to draw the slavers and guards away at the appropriate time, as well, so if you have any suggestions or questions, speak up."
