Because the power of head of state and the executive powers are shared by the seven members of the Swiss Federal Council, I will assume the role of an invented second-in-command protege to Henri Guisan that is now serving as the Swiss Minister of Defense. Due to connections with Guisan, this Karl Gotthard will basically be the de-facto president and leader.
Allegiance: Rabidly neutral, but an unspoken agreement with NATO that NATO will allow Swiss resupply via the mediterranean in exchange for Switzerland denying transit to Soviet Troops in the event of an invasion.
Military strength: While the Swiss army is hypothetically every able bodied male (1.5 million), which it will not hesitate to use if needed, the currently conscripted and the reserves amount to 500,000.
