The World of Alestoth
-=Nations=-
History:
The vast forests of Takari have always been know for their dense thick forests and lack of Humanity. During the Age of Beasts the land fell into chaos not having a Great Beast to rule the land. This lead to an uprising of smaller monsters and creatures overrunning the area. Even with the Order leading multiple crusades into the area to purge it of monsters there always seems to be more just waiting to spew from the forests. It is said that some Dark Evil dwells deep within the forests, but no one has ever been able to confirm this rumor and survive.
-=The Black Order=-
The Mark of the Order
Persons of Note Within the Order
The Reapers are elite members of the black order charged with finding worthy recruits. The Reapers travel across the lands of man plucking any individuals they find to have the necessary talents to strengthen the order. Some fear their coming and others wish for it. All that is known of the Reapers outside of the order is those chosen by the Reapers rarely come back.
One of the Order's Five Grand Generals Kaldor stands as the front line commander for most Black Order raids. This Old Silverfang is a Veteran in battle with more battle achievements than one would care to count. He has lead the order against everything from Exterminating Goblin infestations to Raiding a Dragon's Nest. It is well known when Kaldor appears at the front the troops of the Black Order will once again be on the march.
General Kaldor's personal Strategist the General although great does know his limits and while his focus lies on destroying the enemy and preserving the troops moral he leaves the tactical aspect to Liang. Born and raised in the Order Liang is not only a very cunning strategist but a fierce fighter as well Kaldor and many of his men trust Liang with their lives knowing whatever she may ask is just one more step toward victory.
-=Key Locations=-

The World of Alestoth
Legends state that long before the Age of Man, and even before the Age of Beasts there was an Age of Gods. It was during this time that our world of Alestoth was created and Gods walked its surface shaping the world as we knew it. It is said that Ristoth, The God of Creation, was the one to form the world and breath life upon it, And after centuries of creation he gave the world over to his children. His children then continued Ristoth's work each taking part of the world for themselves to shape as they saw fit.
Although many of the stories and legends from that time have been lost, there is still one which has survived throughout the ages. The Fall of The Gods... Although it is unknown exactly how long the age of Gods lasted, we do know of its bloody end. For reasons now unknown the Gods who ruled the world as its creators and protectors became divided resulting in a war of Gods. The war was fierce as the Gods sent their loyal followers into battle against each other. And after one hundred years of fighting the war couldn't last any longer. Mankind was decimated by the war as countless lives had been thrown away over the God's squabble, and even the gods had given their lives in the war and the handful of remaining Gods declared a truce. And it was then that Ristoth returned to Alestoth, he gathered his remaining children and banished them from the Mortal Realm taking them to the High Heavens where they would no longer be able to harm themselves or the world. And with Ristoth's departure the Age of Gods was over.
After the Fall of The Gods Alestoth once again fell into chaos. Creatures and Beasts who once blindly served the gods who created them were now set free. And without the leash to bind them the Powerful creatures started to take the wold for themselves. With mankind still weakened from the War of The Gods the only way to survive was to find strong intelligent beasts who would protect them. So centuries passed as mankind slowly brought itself back from near extinction, during this time the tales of Ristoth and his children faded away as mankind began to worship the Beasts who protected them. But there were those among mankind who didn't want to live their lives governed by the will of beasts and eventually mankind was ready to rise again and stand on its own feet.
With the Beasts who ruled Alestoth becoming weaker in their overconfidence mankind finally started to make its move. The first real victory over the Beasts came from the area now known as Illuim when the Hero Illuis lead his people to defeat the Great Serpent Xanboro. And as news of this victory spread mankind began to revolt against the beasts. The next major event that contributed to the fall of the beasts was the formation of the Black Order in the Kingdom of Tallos. The Order accepted any warrior who was willing to fight the beasts and liberate the lands controlled by the Great Beasts. It took ten years for the Black Order to reclaim the lands of man, but after driving back the Great Beasts it was finally time for the Dawn of The Age of Man.
It has been over five hundred years since the formation of the Black Order, and since the Great Beasts were pushed back into the Shadowlands. And in that time mankind has once again grown and has become the most powerful beings of the known world. With no great foe to unify against Mankind has turned its blades against itself many times leading to the rise and fall of many nations and powers. But throughout the years the Order has survived. It stands alone taking in men and woman from any nation who is willing to risk their lives to fight the beasts and monsters who invade the lands of man. They have remained free form any national tie, and are respected wherever they go.

-=Nations=-
History:
Once a large group of nomads during the Age of Beasts, the early people of Illuim found refuge in a Sea Side cavern where they were promised protection by the Great Serpent Xanboro. The deal was simple the Serpent would protect the Nomads in exchange for a sacrifice every two moons. This agreement lasted for quite some time, but Xanboro grew larger as years passed and thus he demanded more sacrifices. The people of Illuim continued to give the serpent its sacrifices knowing that the outside world was worse than the demands of a single snake. But there were those who knew that the people deserved more. Illuis was one of these men, a very influential man who set out with his Clan to face the Serpent. The battle was fierce and hard, but Illuis emerged a Hero slaying Xanboro and claiming the land as a home for the once nomadic people. The other Clan Lords pledged their loyalty to Illuis and the nation of Illuim was born. Since the Age of Man Illuim has grown into a strong independent nation that has protected its borders from all invaders.
Government: Shogunate
The Nation of Illuim is ran by a system of Clans, While each clan has its own policies and traditions, the nation is ruled by a Shogun who's clan makes the political choices of the nation. The Shogun is the leader of the Clan which wins the “War of Succession” which follows the death of the previous Shogun. Although this used to be a full war between Clans, it has now become a test of skill where each Clan chooses ten competitors to represent them in the War. The Clan who wins the War moves into power until the Shogun's death.
The Five Great Clans: Since the Nation's founding there have been many clans who have sat in power of Illuim, But as time has passed many clans have fallen from power and today five major powers remain.
Clan Illuis - The clan that was formed under the great hero, they are known for their bravery and strategic brilliance making their home in the coastal cliffs where Illuim was first formed
Clan Thart- Illuim’s eastmost clan and most influenced by the United Empire. They are the mixing pot where the people of outside nations and Illuim combine creating almost an entirely new race.
Clan Blackiron- The Forge Masters of Illuim. Settling in the rocky terrain deep in the caverns the Ingus clan are known for their metallurgy and craftsmanship.
Maggne- By far the largest clan in Illuim, they are primarily farmers and field workers growing the food to sustain the nation. Their domain lay across the open fields in Illuim’s teritory
Yamada- Lords of the Sea, the Yamada make up Illuim’s Navy and fishermen making their homes along the coastal region of Illuim.
Physical Appearance:
The people of Illuim are bronzed most working in the fields or at the seas. Dark Hair colors of browns and blacks with dark eye colors. Range from 5-6 feet mainly with body types to fit their region of the country.
Religion:
Although the people of Illuim know of the Gods, they rarely worship them and instead believe that a life of Honor and Happiness is the path to a meaningful life. But there are those throughout the country who do favor the gods especially in Thart which is so heavily influenced by the outside world and in the territory of that clan you may see statues and temples devoted to Ritoth.
Capital:
Yamanashi, The Gem of the Mountain, Now stands in the cave where Xanboro first lead the wandering people of Illuim. It now stands as a Shining Jewel Built into the mountainside. Yamanashi Shows the strength of the Illuim people and how they cast out the Xanboro and won their freedom.

History: Suldan was a nation born at the end of the Age of Beasts, comprised of the people who would not submit to the rule of Talos, but still valued order. Suldan started as a small City-State which decided to govern itself after the fall of the beasts. And as Talos looked to grow its kingdom Suldan refused to submit to the kingdom's will. Outraged the Kingdom sent a force to take the City, but news of Suldan's defiance spread and when Talos' army arrived a grand force stood in defense of the City. Instead of starting a new war in the wake of the war with the beasts the troops from Talos returned home. And it wasn't long after that that Suldan rose as a nation taking in those who did not wish to be apart of the Kingdom of Talos. A republic was born as each City of respectable standing sent representatives to form a Congress. This Congress then formed the rules and policies for the new nation. And of course the Congressman from the City of Suldan was elected the first Chairmen of the Republic. As the Age of man has gone on the Republic of Suldan has grown. It now almost rivals Talos in power and it is still looking to grow in the years to come.
Physical Appearance:
The people of Suldan are Short, stocky and hirsute. They have Olive skin and dark hair. And their Eyes can range to most colors.
Religion:
“The Children” Tales of old tell not only of Ristoth, but his children as well. These children were gods in their own rights and deserved to have their names remembered and worshiped as well. Those who worship Ristoth's Children believe that one day it will be his Children and not Ristoth who will return to Alestoth and make the world theirs once more.
Capital:

And even a legendary Arena has been built to provide entertainment for all, and a chance of glory for the brave.

It is said that some Dark Evil dwells deep within the forests, but no one has ever been able to confirm this rumor and survive.
History:
The Shadow Lands have always been a mystery. Located across the Great Ocean there has been very little contact from the Shadow Lands since the Age of Beasts began. Rumors state that there humans who live in The Shadow Lands but nothing is known about them. The only thing that is really known about the Shadow Lands is that it is where most of the Surviving Great Beasts fled to and that the Order has attempted to take the lands multiple times with no luck.

-=The Black Order=-
The Mark of the Order
The Black Order was formed during the Age of Beasts as a group of Humans who sought to free Humanity from the servitude of the great Beasts. Taking in any man who was willing to fight the beasts The Order marched throughout the continent challenging great beast and liberating the humans who served them. It was because of the Order unifying mankind that the Age of Beasts was brought to an end.
During the Age of Man the Order has remained, although its purpose has changed from liberating the people to defending them. The Order has outposts set up throughout the continent who respond to any attacks made from monsters or beasts and also looks to expand the reach of humanity making plans to send its forces across the Great Ocean and to take the Shadow Lands freeing those who live under the rule of the beasts in those lands. But the requirements to join the order have become strict, Reapers roam the lands of Men searching for worthy candidates to become members of the Order plucking them from battlefields across the lands. This new stronger Order is finally ready to make a stand against anything the Shadowlands can throw out. Or so they think

-=Key Locations=-
An Old Fortress from the Age of Beasts and has stood as Suldan's first line of defense for many years. After recent events the Fort has fallen into Orc hands. With the Order's forces matching on the once great Fort its fate remains unknown.
Once, long ago the Gods themselves graced the world with their presence. And those touched by the Gods will were given the gift of Magic, the ability to do impossible things that should never be possible by man. This gift is shown through a birthmark somewhere on the body. This Birthmark is the source of the Individual's magic and glows when activated. But as all things just being touched does not make you a Mage. Magic must be practiced and learned. It is a powerful but dangerous tool, and its misuse could be fatal for the user as well as those around them. But those who are gifted with the Magic Marks are not looked down on, as the Chosen of the Gods these individuals are revered in all human nations, some choose these individuals as Leaders and Dignitary, while others see them as weapons and cultivate them into deadly arsenals for war.
-=The Magical Elements=-
Earth <-> Wind
Fire <-> Water
Darkness <-> Light
lightning <-> Arcane
Magic is learned by specific elements and must be learned and mastered separately. It is also easier to learn elements of the same alignment (see list above if its two on the left side the list they are same alignment)
Mastery levels go as follows Apprentice -> Wizard -> Sorcerer -> Magi -> Master -> Sage
I will allow progression during the RP so depending on you devotion to magic will determine your skill. I will allow 4 "points" to be allocated to magic at the start of the RP. If you are a full mage you can distribute those points as you wish (being an apprentice in four separate arts or a Magi in one, and anywhere in between as long as the total number is four). As for those who will be "Battle Mages" "Arcane Warriors" and the like you can have a MAX of three points at the start of the RP depending on your distribution of training. If your skills with a blade are above average you only get one point, If you can hold your own but won't stand out in a crowd you can have two points. And if you can at least tell which end of the dagger is the killy part but thats about it you get three points.
Progression will happen slowly naturally, but if you spend your free time training/studying you will learn the element faster.
Give yourself a limit magic is draining and strong spells take more energy to use. If I see you using to much I'll give you a warning. if you continue you will have backlashes

Combat in this RP will be "Real Time". As in the first party will play out their actions but not make contact with the second party. Then the second party will play out the end of the attack with their characters reaction and counter reaction. This cycle will continue until one party is left with no other option and takes the blow, or takes the hit by choice. Good news with this is I will be controlling most of the monsters and I am not ruthlessly going to try and kill you (all the time)
