In a the kingdom of Glenwood, humans rule. There are many creatures in the world, but most are considered to be feral and unkempt beasts. Known overall as the magi, these creatures are often banned from human kingdoms. Or perhaps some are enslaved. Either way, the divide between humans and magi has grown worse over the years. As humans slowly take more and more territory, the magi are forced to flee their homes and crowd together in what forests and villages are left.
This problem, however, is far from the mind of the Glenwood Royal Family. They live in their castle among their human kingdom, with only one satyr blacksmith as a reminder that the magi even exist. This blacksmith, despite being one of the most skilled that this country had ever seen, is treated like a common servant. He lives in a small add on to the barn, only allowed in the castle when invited by the royals. And even then a group of maids is sent out to ensure that he is 'clean and presentable'.
The king's eldest daughter has only seen the satyr once or twice, usually preferring to hide whenever the beast makes his presence in the castle. Old stories of stayrs being vulgar and crude beasts, eager to steal away young woman and rape them, are still passed around. But when the princess takes a ride out into the forest, just outside of her father's kingdom, her worst fear comes true. She is attacked by a lycan, who bites and infects her with its disease. When she returns to the castle, she tells no one, terrified of what may happen to her. The only person she can think of to go to for help is the blacksmith; the satyr who knows just about everything there is to know about magi.

Good grammar and writing skills are also required.
