Karen was scared, and pissed, probably more pissed than scared. Tess was missing, and she knew that something other than human had taken her. The cops of course were being stupidly useless. Lucille, was currently sitting in the car, while Karen went to check into this stupid hotel that was the last place Tess was seen. The cops had called it a dead end, but Karen didn't believe them, neither did Lucille. There had been four missing cases in the last year that the person had been last seen near this hotel. This crappy hotel that was too far from town to be considered part of their hometown, but too close to be a worthwhile stopping point if you were tired. You might as well just head the rest of the way into town.

Why had Tess been at this hotel anyway? Karen wondered to herself as she entered the office. There was a married couple running the place, that was a surprise for Karen. She had expected a sleazy looking guy, maybe like the guy who was in Identity. She was also surprised to see the attractive looking man at the check-in counter. He was wearing a suit, one that wasn't tailored, and was booking a room for two. Damn, she thought to herself. He moved past her and out to the lot, where a nice black car was, another attractive guy in a suit closed the trunk to the car. Classic, had to be. Lucille would probably strike up a conversation with them, even if was just about the car.

"Can I help you?" The guy behind the counter asked.

"Yeah, I need a room. Two beds please." He nodded and typed at his computer for a few seconds. He asked a few questions, which Karen answered easily, before handing her two electronic swipe keys. "Thank you." She smiled at the guy and his wife before heading back outside. "We've got a room, room 112." Karen held up the plastic key cards, passing one to Lucille in the car.

The blonde girl sat stiffly in the driver's seat of the car, noting the two men that had been in the parking lot as well. A friend of theirs had gone missing, and thought Lucille wasn't exactly close to them, the fact that other people had gone missing at the same place made her even more interested in figuring out what the hell was going on. So here they were, her friend Karen, and the blonde herself, checking into the hotel. Lucille had chosen to stay in the car, because she pretty much was shy about interacting with people, so it was best for her. But when she noticed the two guys, she cleared her throat to herself, her eyes lingering on the car. It was the only type of car she ever had eyes for. Maybe she could play it cool, nonchalant, just to make sure what car it was. So she opened the window, leaning on it and smirking, yet still feeling uneasy. "Hey! Is that a Chevy Impala?!" The girl called, staring at the guy who remained in the car. "It's a 1967, right?" The blonde continued, shifting a bit. What if people didn't like conversation?

Meanwhile, the other man went inside, shifting from foot to foot as he waited to get the keycard. He just gave a curt nod to the man at the desk, and he couldn't help but send a glance at Karen, before walking out and heading to the car. "Got it!" The younger man called, flashing the keycard, and then grabbing a duffel bag out of one of the seats. There had been a lot of deaths going on around here, and they were of course obligated to figure out what was going on, and get rid of the monster.

At the desk, the wife just smirked a little to herself as the dark-haired girl left. Her eyes moved to the side, glancing at her husband, as if speaking telepathically. Yet nothing was said, but everything was understood.

Lucille's green eyes moved to Karen as she came back, and she took the keycard, a bit flustered. The girl got out of the car and grabbed her bag, forcing a small smile at the two men.

The older man nodded to Lucille's question. His eyes evaluating her, deciding if she was a threat or not, he decided not. The taller man returned with their own key cards. The pair of them talked for a moment in a hushed tone about staying on point, smiling back at Lucille and Karen. It was clear the two of them weren't happy with each other. The shorter of the pair was grinning at the taller. He started walking to their own room and gave a wink over to Lucille and Karen. "Ideas so far?" Dean asked as they walked. "The lack of bodies has me wondering. Maybe it eats it's victims completely."

She grabbed her own bag out of the car. She'd be thankful for the heater once they got into the hotel room, her hands were ice cold right now. "So, what kind of car is it?" Karen asked Lucille once she thought the guys were out of ear shot. Lucille would know. Karen started walking toward the room. "I'm thinking later we'll see which room Tess was in. We'll have to distract the staff, I'll do that. You sneak into the office and check the computer. Too bad they don't keep paper ledgers anymore. I have the list of the other people who went missing, you could look up their names too."

Sam sighed running a hand through his hair. "Or maybe the monster is just good at hiding them." He retorted, a little annoyed with his brother right now. It was funny how he was younger but more mature, and sometimes less irritable. "How long ago was the most recent victim?" He asked, focusing on the door and sliding the card into the slot before pulling it out. He opened the door, holding it for his brother and rolling his eyes, before moving inside and starting to unpack, being the more neat one of the two, or course. "We should probably check to see if the victims actually checked out, or if they just kinda..disappeared.." Sam explained, shrugging and starting to put some clothes away in the drawers.

The blonde just watched the two, forcing a smile back, and as soon as the two brothers had left, her hand went to her warm forehead. She hated dealing with people, they were so judgmental, and a lot of them were assholes. Her green eyes glanced at the car as Karen asked about the car. "A 1967 Chevrolet Impala." Lucille retorted, sighing and gripping the bag a bit tighter, listening to what Karen had to say. "Sounds like a plan." She said, grinning and looking at Karen. "You gonna use your tits or your wit." She joked, nudging her friend.

Dean pulled the police report that they had picked up earlier that day and looked it over. "The most recent vic disappeared two weeks ago. A one Tessa Green, last seen here. According to the police report they checked this place out, but thought it was a dead end. The cops said she was here meeting someone, but in the report her friend..." He trailed off looking at the file. "Karen Winter, said Tessa wasn't seeing anyone. No one knows who she was meeting. It was in her calendar though, and when her picture came up on the news a trucker reported seeing her, with someone here." Dean closed the file. "The cops failed to notice the other vics that recently disappeared from this area, seen within the vicinity of the hotel." Dean explained leaving his own clothes in his duffel, instead he sat at the table and pulled out the faded journal. He flicked through it more by memory than by necessity.

"I'll have to use my wit sadly. Unless they are into a threesome." She shivered at the idea. "It'll be easy getting him away from the counter, but if she's as hawkish as she comes off I doubt I can get her to leave as well. I might wait until there's only one behind the counter, claim the sink's leaking or something." Karen brainstormed as she opened their room's door. She took the bed closet to the door, for Lucille's sake.

Sam listened and slowly nodded, frowning. "I guess nobody saw who exactly she was with..." He muttered. There was no body, so either she was actually eaten completely, or she was alive and maybe hidden somewhere. There was no way that she would be dead if she wasn't eaten. "What do you think it is?.." He asked, his chocolate eyes moving to Dean. Of course he was reading through the damn journal again. "Dean, I don't think anything useful is gonna be in there." He said, watching his brother, a small frown marrying his face. They had to focus right now, not reminisce in the past.

Lucille chuckled, grinning and shaking her head. She glanced at her friend and gave a nod. "Maybe we can call in for someone to fix the sink, it'll probably be her husband. As for the woman, you better get your acting skills on, stub your toe or something, make a scene. You know..." The girl trailed off, shrugging and sitting on the other bed. "How dirty do you think these sheets are?.." She asked, making a face. Maybe she was a bit of a germaphobe.

--

The man behind the counter cleared his throat, glancing at the woman who helped him run thr place. Well, thr monster that did. "Think they're hunters?.." He said, the boys looking a little familiar. Their car most of all. As for the girls, they seemed like good prey, but something was strange about them as well.

"Well, the lack of a body means that the body is either being consumed or well hidden. Just going off of monsters that consume that's a long list. Ghouls, Rugaru, shifters, and Crocotta are the first ones that come to mind." Dean sighed. "I don't know, maybe I'll look and see if I can speak with this Karen Winter, she was friends with the last vic. She has been very adamant with the cops that they keep looking for her friend. Maybe she knows something that she hasn't told the cops."

"That's a good idea." Karen grinned and then glanced at the bed sheets with a frown. "I don't want to know. I think I'll sleep on top of them." She sat down on the bed facing Lucille. "I'll wait to do the distraction in like half an hour." She habitually looked at the clock. "Right now I need to shoot something, get into the zone of putting on a show." She pulled out her handheld video game device.

~~
"I think the men are. That car brings something to mind, but I thought that they were dead." She thought back to the strange killing spree a pair of humans had gone on recently. In a car just like that one, maybe she was wrong. "The girls though." She grinned and let her tongue caress her lips. "They look delicious." Her instincts agreed that something was odd about them. The dark haired woman who had checked them in seemed upset and determined, but she had smelt a hint of fear in her. "The dark haired one is scared of something." She mentioned to her "husband".

Sam nodded, rubbing the back of his neck. "Yeah I guess-..." He began, and then took a small breath. "Dean." He said, glancing at his older brother, a small frown on his face. The younger Winchester turned the laptop, showing his brother that Karen Winter was in fact the girl that they had seen yesterday, along with the blonde in the car. His brown eyes held the suggestion that they needed to talk to the girls. Now. It wasn't safe for them at all.

Lucille scoffed, shifting a few times and then the comforter kind of got to her. She stood and then tugged it off, letting it fall to thefloor for now. The girl wiped the back of her skirt and then sat down again, watching her friend a few moments. Instead of shooting games, the girl was more into Tetris. Well she was obsessed with Tetris. But right now she was too lazy to actually take her game boy out. Lucille cleared her throat, shifting and glancing up at Karen. "You think it's actually possible that we can find her? You think she's still alive?.." The blonde asked.

--

The man grinned. "I think the girls had a nice little conversation with those men..." He said, and smirked lightly. "I thought I ought to put her at ease, use a pretty face and make sure she's okay." He said, contemplating. He would have to change into that tall man, the two had ran into each other after all. And it would be easier for him to get closer to her. The shifter could hardly wait. He needed blood badly.

"Awesome." Dean said with a note of despair in his voice. "Bet you she gave up on the police looking for her friend. We should go talk to them. Tell them to leave and that we're investigating a string of disappearances in the area." Dean was frowning, worry etched into his face. He hadn't shared much of a conversation, except for a few words about his car with the blonde. She had seemed nervous. He stood up. "I heard Karen say they were in room 112. Let's go." He headed toward their room.

Karen paused the game. "I don't know. I hope we can find her, but it has been two weeks. Most missing persons only have twenty-four hours. And the stupid cops don't even take missing person reports for adults until after the first 48." She looked at the paused screen of her game. "I can only hope." She pressed back against the flood of emotions. Fear and sadness. Mourning for a friend she wasn't even sure was dead. There was a knock on the door and Karen jumped. She smiled at Lucille. "I'll get it." She got up and went to the door peeking through the peep hole. "It's the guys with the car." She raised an eyebrow looking back at Lucille. Before cracking the door as the safety lock would allow.

"Can I help you?"

~~
"Look." His "wife" warned as the two men crossed from their room to the girls room. "It'll have to wait."

Lucille took a slow breath. Her friend had seemed to hate on the police a lot. The blonde knew that it was a lot of bullshit the police were pulling, but did they really have a lot to go on? Not really...She just nodded slowly in response, her eyes darting up to the door as there was a knock on it. She glanced at Karen, watching her. The girl was so jumpy and it worried Lucille. But Lucille just nodded, staring at the door and slowly standing when Karen commented it was the guys from earlier. The blonde forced a smile, moving in the sight of the crack in the door. "Hi guys!!" She said abruptly, watching them.

Sam sighed, shrugging at Dean and standing, following after his brother. "Alright, we can try and make it professional, and maybe try to relax them, but don't sound like a dumbass, Dean." He explained, walking briskly with his brother towards the hotel room thetwo girls were staying in. He stood at the door, clearing his throat and then shifting from foot to foot, raising a brow at his brother as the blonde seemed friendly, and spoke up. Sam's eyes moved to Karen, and he had a bit of a solemn look as he pulled his badge out, showing it to the dark-haired girl. "We just want to talk to you two." He explained, his voice light yet low.

--

The shifter gritted its teeth, but nodded, watching the taller man. "Her blood must be bitter..." He growled.

Dean pulled his badge out as well showing it to the two girls. Karen resisted the urge to shut the door.
"I'd ask you how you found me, but I think this was just by chance that you found me." She sighed and closed the door to unhook the lock. "Alright, come in." She says when she opens the door back up.

"Thank you." Dean nodded and entered the room. Karen faced the pair of them arms crossed, she kept herself between them and Lucille as best she could.

"What's this about?" Karen asked them.

"Your missing friend Tessa." Karen frowned at Dean. "I am Agent Crosby, and this is Agent Nash, we are investigating several missing person cases in the area. Your friend was the most recent one to go missing -"

"From this exact hotel, something the cops keep seem to be forgetting." Karen cut Dean off.

~~~
"We'll have them both soon." The female shifter spoke soothingly. "We have to make sure the hunter's don't find us out though. We will have to take them out as well."
Lucille frowned lightly as the two men just seemed to be here for business reasons, and she slowly sat down, her elbow on her thigh, and her mouth covered by her palm and hand. She cleared her throat after a few moments, seeing that Karen was getting a bit, well snippy. She removed her hand from her mouth. "Are you here to ask us questions or just to let us know your investigating?" She spoke, watching the two men and shifting, leaning back a bit.
Sam stared at them, and then at Dean, as if unsure and looking for help, before he finally spoke up. "Neither." He said firmly, yet with a hint of sympathy. "We're asking you two to leave."
--
The man nodded slowly, taking a slow breath to calm himself. He could get a bit hyperactive when thinking of the sweet blood he could drink up. "It shouldn't be too hard...They seemed pretty oblivious. "
"No." Karen responded almost immediately.
"Please, this is our job. We don't want you in a dangerous place, where at least 4 people have disappeared."
"Well at least you're aware of all the other people just disappear off the map. My friend is missing and I will find her." Karen's voice was full of steel as she spoke.
"We can have you arrested." Dean threatened.
"For what? Staying at a hotel?" Karen gestured with one arm.
"Obstruction of justice." Dean retorted.
"I'm not obstructing anyone. I'm looking for her on my own." Karen snapped back.
"Withholding evidence," Karen started to say something but Dean held up his hand before continuing. "You know something about why she was here, but haven't told the cops. I read the report. You want them to focus here."
"That's because this is the last place she was seen, and the cops are ignoring it." Karen caught herself from launching into a tirade about the cops or the supernatural by taking a deep breath and turning to face Lucille.
~~
"We'll get the girls and then the two guys before they can figure out what happened to them." She was hungry, but she plotted.
Sam swallowed hard, letting Dean handle this for now. But he spoke up a bit later. "We're just doing our job, and we're here to protect the people..." He began.
Lucille watched Karen, and gave a polite grin before standing quickly and moving next to her friend, a bit nervous. "You'll have to excuse her...She's just so upset because they're so close..." She stated solemnly, pulling Karen into a hug and holding her, watching the detectives. "We understand, we really do, but she needs to say goodbye. The girl is probably dead.." The blonde told them, mouthing the last words. She didn't want to lose hope, but that actually seemed like it was true at this point. "So if you could give us two days, maybe, just so we can be put at ease. And then we'll leave.." She said, watching them.
--
The man nodded. "I can go for the brunette.." He muttered. He wanted her badly.
Karen sank into the hug from Lucille. She held back the tears, and the panic, that was just at the back of her mind pushing for release.
Dean sighed and looked at his brother as Lucille asked for two days. "Sammy..." Dean started, then looked at the pair of them. "I can't in good conscious let you two stay here, not with a monster...killer maybe on the loose." One we don't even know what it is. "We'll let you know when we find her." His voice was determined. There was no question that they would find Tessa. Dean knew they would, they always did.
Karen pulled herself together enough to turn to them. "We've already paid for tonight. We'll leave in the morning." Karen was lying. She just hoped the feds wouldn't see through it, she was good at it.
~~
"And while you get her, I'll get the blonde. We'll meet downstairs." A plan was all the needed now.
Sam just kept quiet, trying to keep a professional gaze, but . ' s eyes held sadness. They had probably lost a friend, and they were still desperately searching for her or clues to help her. He cleared his throat. "Tomorrow morning. " He said, giving them a nod, and glancing at his brother.
Lucille watched Karen, holding her, and seeming in thought. The way her friend "acted" was all a little too realistic, even for her. And Karen's hold wasn't light, she was holding onto the blonde. She glanced at the two men, keeping her hold on Karen, even when she turned to look at them. Lucille nodded, watching them. "Thank you." She told them, watching them and glancing at Dean. "Keep a good eye on that car by the way, saw a few birds eyeing her earlier." Lucille joked, and rubbed Karen's shoulder lightly, glancing at her friend a moment.
--
"Maybe i can pay a visit, the plumbing could need some fixing." The shifter joked, grinning.
"Birds." Dean sighs exasperated throwing up his hands. The memory of when he could communicate with animals passing through his mind. "Just don't open your door for anyone, even us." He added, just in case it was ghouls or shifters, since both could change their form. That certainly wouldn't be the first time a shifter took his form. Finally Dean left the room.
Once both of them were out of the room Karen sighed. "Alright, we have one night." She looked at Lucille seriously. "Guess we're putting our plan into place." She moved over toward the phone to call the font desk.
~~
"So easy, look." She pointed at the men leaving the girl's room.
Lucille nodded, watching them and raising a brow. She glanced at Karen and wanted to ask, but she decided to keep quiet for now. "I guess I'll go get something from the vending machine, at least I'm spending some money here. " She joked, digging through her purse and getting a few dollars out. "Be careful, alright?..We don't want you getting arrested. " The blonde joked, glancing at Karen before leaving and heading into the hall to one of the vending machines. The front desk was around the corner.
--
The shifter watched the two men, and his eyes flickered yellow for a moment, watching Sam. The phone rang and he moved to it, answering and smirking. "Of course, we apologize for the inconvenience. " He explained, his eyes moving to the other shifter. "We'll fix it shortly." He said, before hanging up.
"Thank you." Karen hung up. She paced. God she hoped this worked. Or what if those Feds were right and they were in danger here...what if something happened to Lucille next? Her only friend left. "Pull yourself together." She told herself as her heart pounded. How was she suppose to get the woman to leave the desk too? This wasn't going to work, but then there was a knock at the door. Karen took a deep breath and answered it.
"Well at least they'll be gone in the morning." Dean sighed sinking into the chair. "I'm going to see what I can find out about the vics online." He opened the laptop wishing one of the computer guru people were still around, maybe they could find security footage... "Sammy, have you seen any cameras?"
~~~
"Good luck dear. I see the blonde went toward the vending machines." The woman shifter grinned at her partner. The girls were separated, perfect. The woman shifter went into the back room. She'd have to take the form of shorter of the hunters.

The shifter gave a soft smile, holding up his tool belt. "I heard there was a leak?" He asked, stepping inside. "Sorry about that, we've been renovating by I guess we still screwed up..." He muttered, shrugging and heading into the bathroom. "Lemme guess, the sink?" He joked lightly, rummaging in his tool belt. If he could catch her off guard, get her just once, and then she would be his. He could almost smell the blood from where he was.

Sam leaned back, staring at the table a few moments. "I think there was a camera outside..." He muttered, and took a breath. "You think we'll really find her?..I mean, what about the others, Dean? They've been gone longer than she has, you think they're alive?.." He asked, staring at his brother.

--

Lucille shifted at the vending machine, getting a chocolate bar, and glancing around the corner, watching the front desk. No one was there it seemed. She nonchalantly began to saunter over towards the desk, looking around a moment.
