In this roleplay you play as a newspaper writer, editor, or anything to do with the newspaper business and are in charge of distributing it, writing it, editing it and spreading it across the massive country known as Ploastan.
I've set various hiders for lore to wrap your head around where you are at, character sheets are beneath.
A few rules to go over:
1. No "prefect" characters. 2. The usual, no powergaming, mging etc. 3. In a week I expect 1-3 posts, PM or post on OOC if you can't post for whatever reason 4. If a player drops from the roleplay, the character will be "killed" or shipped off for failing to report to work.

Ploastan is in aninteresting place in its history. It's been 20 years since the civil war which ended the monarchy and "freed" the people. However, life in Ploastan varies, or could be called a mixed bag.
The North and South regions are the richest, have the best land and are often where oligarchs live. Massive cities exist and the quality of life by many could be considered high. Crime is at an all time low since the police are motivated to fight due to nice hefty pay checks and other incentives. Homelessness and signs of "poor" people don't even exist in these cities. Mostly these regions are made out of high class, upper middle class (including you) and middle-class families.
The picture differs if you go to the west and the east, where most of the populations do live. Slums, poverty, and poor utilities are the main headlines in these cities. Most of the cites lack a police force even and the ones that do have one are often funded by an oligarch who has his own agenda. Education is fairly basic and the go to job is mainly in factories, a few storefronts and other low paying professions. Electricity and Water come on for 2-4 hour periods at a time before turned off for 4-6 hours and repeat.
The World Human Rights board reports that a lot of violations occur. Oligarchs at times often employee slavery esqe methods for their employee's. Reports of even human trafficking, sex trafficking, and other methods have surfaced but reports are too inconclusive to properly pin anything on the government and the elite. The treatment of the poor class's has also been reported but whenever an official inquiry does happen it get's no where due to reported government tampering with reports, again nothing is justified due toa lack of evidence. Ethnic cleansing violations have surfaced and some movements have been made to bring the people to justice. But as soon as a solid lead pops up the government "deals" with the issue.
Post in OOC and I'll check them.
