STATE OF THE UNION
The year is 1947. The world teeters on the very edge. With the Terrible War a decade and a half past, two superpowers stand poised to oppose one another. The Silent War has begun. Characterized by shadowy operations, bushfire wars and proxy conflicts, both nations understand that to come to blows would be mean the end of civilization in a fiery holocaust. As ideological warfare continues, either side must be prepared to do anything it can, in order to survive.
THE GAME
-- State of the Union is a game with two FACTIONS. Players join as a character representing one of those two factions, employing espionage, military aid and the like to further their ideologies. Each FACTION has it's own unique abilities.
-- The game is Deck Driven, where each player is given event based cards to play during their turn. Similarly, they can sacrifice those cards in order to perform alternate actions, explained below.
FACTIONS
-- Republic of Osteria: The home of democracy and a powerhouse of military technology, Osteria shines bright as a beacon of verdant capitalism. It espouses it's belief that a free world is a strong world and opposes the People's Republic of Vokovia.
-- People's Republic of Vokovia: Home of the International Pact of Solidarity, Vokovia is the birthplace of communism and intends to spread communism throughout the world.

POSITIONS
-- REPUBLIC OF OSTERIA
* President: The President is the Head of State for Osteria. He will direct the nation, but must exist appeal to the will of the People, lest he lose future Elections.
- Foreign Ambassador: The Foreign Ambassador handles relations with the members of the Golden Alliance.
- Head of the National Bureau of Espionage (NBE): The head of the NBE is fighting a shadowy war against the Vokovian DSP, bartering for intelligence and sabotage.
- Secretary of Defense: The Secretary of Defense handles concerns for the Osterian Army, Navy and Air Force.
- Secretary of Research & Development: The Secretary of R&D is concerned with new technologies, primarily the nuclear and space race.
- Military Adviser: Military Advisers are boots on the ground in the Domino States, nations that have not yet chosen between capitalism and communism. They will direct troops and strategy on the ground.
-- PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC OF VOKOVIA
* Premier: The Premier is the Head of State for Vokovia. He will direct the nation, but must remain in power by fulfilling his Agendas.
- People's Diplomat: The People's Diplomat handles all relations with member states of the Pact of Solidarity.
- Director of Department for Security & Peace (DSP): The head of the DSP fighting a shadowy war against the Osterian NBE, bartering for intelligence and sabotage.
- Minister of Defense: The Minister of Defense handles concerns for the Vokovian Army, Navy and Air Force.
- Minister of Experimental Weapons & Rocketry: The Minister of EWR. is concerned with new technologies, primarily the nuclear and space race.
- Expeditionary Commissar: These are boots on the ground in the Domino States, nations that have not yet chosen between capitalism and communism. They will direct troops and strategy on the ground.
