Whelp, it's about time I started working on a post that relates to current events. Is anybody working on creating a disturbance to make the Ismal fellow show up? Being conspicuous is kind of Blade's forte, so I figure thats the best spot for him to be. I know Zaveed is currently getting information on the guy and I assume will be carrying out the actual assaination. Maybe we could organize a joint operation?

Blade's savior could help out with that ya know >_>

Zaveed isn't doing the assassination. He's doing the prison break.

Random note: I'm still kind of torn between the pronunciation of Sion's name.... Either (Cah-rah, See-on) or adding a little accent to it like (Cao-rah, See-on).....

this needs to be a poll later...

Cool. I'll wait and see if anybody else wants to get in on this or has already started something. But in the case no one has, what should we do? The most obvious thing would be to start a riot I suppose. Any other ideas?

He's the guard captain, right? He'll probably be a badass in his own right and also surrounded by likeminded individuals. Now, if you could spread the guards a bit, it might make things a bit easier. Enlist some pickpockets and thieves, some brigands are bar brawlers, get enough trouble started in distant parts of the city and the guards'll be forced to respond. The downside to this is of course, with such an orchestrated timing, he'll know something's up and be ready for you. Checks and balances, pick your poison on if you prefer a firing squad waiting for you or a small elite group of badasses.

Well in Dervs briefing (correct me if I'm wrong Almighty One) the captain himself doesn't appear to be much of a threat. He just sends out his guards to do the dirty work. And it was mentioned that it would have to be "quite the disturbance" in order to get enough guards out of the guard house to allow somebody sneaky to get inside and kill him.
At first I was thinking we'd have to cause a mass revolt in the populace, but a bunch of smaller isolated incidents that spread the guards out could work well too, and would cut down on civilian casualties which the Resistance would appreciate I'm sure. Even still, it would have to be a lot of small incidences that are still drastic enough to get a decent amount of troops called. Petty crimes and bar brawls wouldn't really work that well.
Maybe fire bombing gov property or something.
And I can't imagine every guard being an elite fighter. Sure the Lieutenants maybe, but it just doesn't make sense for all the guards to be master swordsman, even if they are Redguard.

Most Redguard are very talented fighters, since they are a fairly martial society and they're raised from birth to be warriors.

From the Wiki,

Redguard society is extremely martial, and nearly everyone is expected to have a grasp of basic weaponry and combat, although only the rulers are generally expected to have any knowledge of strategy, formations and tactics. Only the strongest, fastest and smartest Redguards are accepted into the demanding military (which consists mainly of various knightly orders), and they are expected to prove themselves worthy by facing death. Even their entertainment, like snake charming, bears some risk to it. The practice of eastern magic is greatly frowned upon by Crown and Forebear alike, and outsiders are not tolerated in many parts of Hammerfell.

They are a highly disciplined and enterprising people, having centuries of experience with warfare in their homeland. Their warriors are acknowledged to be among the best in the world. The Redguards are also known for their naval prowess, and their fleets have proved a match for the Empire's best armadas, as seen during the Stros M'Kai revolt. Stros M'Kai and some parts of mainland Hammerfell hold many Dwemer ruins, and some young Redguards seeking to enter military service must brave the dangers of these ruins. Most of their holidays and traditions seem to revolve around either the celebration of natural phenomena or the commemoration of great battles and warriors.

As for Captain Ismal, it would be best not to underestimate him. You need to ask yourself what kind of man commands the loyalty of a highly effective and ruthless group of guards, especially in this kind of society.

ALRIGHT GUYS. POSTING THE JOURNAL STYLE FAN-FICTION ON HERE AND STORYWRITE.COM... I HOPE YOU ALL LIKE WHAT I GOT.FIRST OFF, A FEW NOTES.I'll write what I encounter in game. Its just how I roll. I won't be adding things that have not happened. Secondly, I've got a 'few' mods running, so I'll be reffrencing things that happen in them. I've got a bunch of Immersion mods running, Moonlight Tales, and the like. Three of the big mods are 'Wyrmstooth, Faalskar, and Moon-and-Star. I hope you enjoy. x)Okay, I didn't actually meet THorald, but I did come across a Thalmor prisoner... Just a teeny bit of artistic liberty for the sake of a bit of storytelling... Also, the Typos are typos that Caius Vorenus made. >_> /blatantlie

FINALLY GOT TO READ THIS!

I actually really enjoyed this little write up, I always enjoyed 'Let's Play' style things where it's written in a roleplay perspective, and it's certainly a fun way to give a bit more life to the things you encounter in the games. It's interesting how perspective can totally change how you perceive an encounter, especially if you're sticking in character. It reminds me of when I play Marassa in my Skyrim, it's a rather interesting challenge staying totally aloof to the happenings of the world and not joining any of the guilds because she sees them all as pointless exercises, and she has no reason to go into caves/ ruins unless she's looking for shelter or coin. Having restrictions based on roleplaying can add a lot of life to a game! Either way, do moar. I wanna see what kind of kooky adventures you get yourself up to.

Well it's not likely to be Blade who fights him. Unless nobody else wants to join the mission and take that job, in which case I suppose he will.

*Ahem...*

When he was nine years old, Prince Honorous Jorg Ancrath saw his mother and younger brother murdered before his eyes. By thirteen, he commanded a band of bloodthirsty mercenaries. By the time he is fifteen, he intends to be king.

First though, Jorg must return to the life he turned his back on, to take what is rightfully his. Since the day he was hung on the thorns of a briar patch and forced to watch Count Renar's men slaughter his mother and brother, Jorg has been driven by a burning need for vengeance. Life and death are no more than a game to him—and he has nothing left to lose.

But treachery and dark magic awaits him in his father’s castle. No matter how fierce, can the will of one young man conquer enemies with power beyond his imagining?

You'll also shit when you realize what time period it's actually in.

I pretty much already write Blade as I play him in the game, but now I want to do this. Maybe I'll consider everything that happens in game as Blade canon. It'll be everything that happened shortly after he left Windhelm which I never really touched on in my character sheet.

Yea, I'm pretty sure I can get a lot of stories with Sevari's past. I was actually thinking of writing a fanfic of Sevari's past endeavours. Not posting, maybe, but just writing it for fun.

I think our characters would mostly be attempting to avoid the guards and just lead them about long enough for somebody to kill the captain. Queen what's-her-face seemed to want to keep casualties to a minimum, even if it's just guards who are helping the dwemer.

OH sweet Teddy Roosevelt's mustache...

I can't edit the first post! It just turns into a wall of white!

Until whatever happened is resolved, I HIGHLY suggest you guys triple check your long posts before posting, because you may not get a second chance.

This includes drunken love confessions.
