Grant had followed Piper into the woods, as fast as he could go. But Piper was fast. Faster than anyone he had ever seen. And she was graceful, the way she would run and leap, twirl and bounce. Grant would be able to smell the animal they were hunting before Piper could detect it, and he would point it out to Piper at once. Grants contribution to the hunt was, since he was so well read, he knew what tracks were made by what. Grant would be able to predict where the animals would be, which allowed Piper to pounce in the direction Grant pointed her to. By the end of their hunt, Grant was able to identify several different animals, and had been able to help catch a deer and a fox. The fox Grant was most proud of, being that the fox they killed was slightly more intelligent than Grant had assumed. The fox had tried to trick Grant, instead of following one path it had ran basically in circles. Grant was able to figure out the tactics the fox used, and outmanuvered it.
Grant and Piper sat and enjoyed their feast.
"Thank you for your assistance Piper. This has been......most enjoyable. I must confess that earlier when you said that most vampires go for human blood.....I did not admit it but I am not one of those. I do not choose to drink human blood, only animal blood."
Piper smiled. "I usually only eat animals. I mean, yes I have had to kill humans before and when I have to I will drink some of their blood. However, I don't choose to do it on a regular basis."
Piper was thinking about something and she asked him, "Earlier today, when you found me, what was it that drew you to me to begin with?"
Grant blushed slightly, and ignored the question. Grant spoke softly.
"There is pleasure in the pathless woods, there is rapture in the lonely shore, there is society where none intrudes, by the deep sea, and music in its roar; I love not Man the less, but Nature more."
Grant sighed and sank his fangs into his fox.
Piper could tell that he was very shy about many things. She went down to the water's edge after she was done and washed her face and hands. Just because she was technically a monster didn't mean that she had to act like one or look like one. She climbed back up and watched Grant as he finished up. He was so tidy and neat. She looked like a ....well a dog in comparison.
Piper smiled at him and she closed her eyes and when she opened them they were not the normal shade. They were more lit up. She walked over to Grant and told him. "I'm going to kiss you now. So don't freak out or I might bite you." He looked quite surprised at her announcement and didn't run away fast enough.
Piper put one hand on either side of him kind of keeping him where he was and she kissed him deeply in a curious way. It was full of passion and exploration. She was surprised at how much more she wanted. He struck something within her that she didn't know how to quell. When she pulled back she was a little shaken up. Her breathing heavy and the feelings that she was experiencing she had never had before and she was quite taken aback by it.
When Grant heard that Piper, and how she was going to kiss him, Grant instinctively tried to move back. Piper was too fast and held him in place though. Grant looked into her eyes, and he saw the magnificent glow that seemed to resonate something within him. Truthfully, he was attracted to her originally by scent, but when he saw he her something stirred within him. Something that had never stirred in 120 years of existing. Grant braced himself but could never truly prepare for what happened next. Grant felt helpless after locking lips with Piper. Grant tried ot fight it but nothing else mattered to him at the moment.
Piper pulled back and she didn't know what to say. She was speechless in a confusing kind of way. "Wow....I didn't expect that. Did you feel it too?" She blushed a lot. "I have never been ...um well....so turned on by a kiss in my life. Have you?" Piper thought about something Nora had said and she blushed even more.
"I think Nora put us in adjoining rooms. They were common in many of these older larger houses. I think she believes that we are a couple and that you didn't want to say that." Piper knew her face was red with embarrassment she just hoped that he couldn't see it.
"I.....I dont....Ive never......"
Grant tried to put into words that he has never truly been with a women before. When he was human, he had so little positive interactions with people that it left him quite void on the inside. When he became a vampire, he was hounded by the fact he still had to exist. He had done his dream, becoming a published author, and had nothing else to live for. Except he was too weak and cowardly to do anything about it. So he lived, day by day, just........existing.
.
"I have very...little...experience un such regards. Although I would have to agree with you, I have never been.....as turned on by a kiss in my long lifespan. And I do not belive Miss Nora meant to do that on purpose, Remember she is quite upset with me."
Piper grinned. "She was upset with you, but not with me. I would bet that the choice is left to the person in my room, not yours." Piper knew he couldn't tell in the dark but she was as red as a fire truck.
She still didn't know what to do and they felt a little awkward discussing this so she said. "I can walk around during the day even in sunny weather because of my wolf blood. So I tend to sleep at off hours so that I am up when most people and vampires are up. I tend to be up most nights." She pulled him back inside the house and up to their rooms. She kissed him again after pulling him into her room. This time she had a lot more trouble pulling back. Her body and animal instincts were having a war with her mind.
Grant was pulled back into the manor by Piper, and was rushed along to her room. Grant blushed as he noticed the looks he was given by the staff. He thought he saw Nora once, or her man lover, but he pushed that thought aside. Grant, once inside Pipers room, almost tried to fight Piper off. She was aggressive, and this slightly intimidated him. It wasnt as though he was opposed to her wanting him, and they definetley had a connection. Their connection was almost on a weird level. Grant slowly but surely lost all effort in trying to fight off Piper. But he was still lacking in experience, so had Grant kissed Piper feriously, he had trouble deciding when to lead and when to follow. All in all Piper was definetley part Lycan. She was aggresive as an actual wolf.
Piper had no desire to stop and she later realized she might have pushed him too far but his responses became frenzied and slightly aggressive so she knew he was at least enjoying himself. It was only moments before she had mostly undressed both of them and she threw him onto the bed. It only took a moment to look at his expression to know that his approval was hers.
