Name: Alessia (Alice) Conway
Age: 17, senior

General Personality: Alice was always an outgoing girl growing up. Artistic and definitely one of those "left-brain" types, she spends as much time in the art room as possible, even after school. The senior hates confrontation and hardly ever has anything negative to say. She could probably be friends with half her school if she would actually hang out with people more. During school she was as friendly as possible, but afterwards she would never be found hanging around another soul if she could help it. Unless she finds someone in need of a little pick me up...Alice can never resist helping somebody who might need a few words of encouragement.

Bio Summary: In 6th grade Alice's mother passed away. Through most of her middle school years Alice's father sent her to live with her grandparents down south, which was when she developed her abilities. Eventually her father got over the grief and could stand to look at his daughter again (she looked just like her mother, making things difficult) and took her back the summer before freshman year, but for some reason her grandmother taught her to hide her powers...probably because psychics were looked down upon by society, but why couldn't she even tell her father?

Psychic Powers: Telepathy (reading emotions, and letting her own be felt by others by choice), Psychometry (seeing the past of an object by touching it), energy medicine (physical healing through energy, but she's only dabbled in it and is afraid to try much). While she's proud of her powers she feels they are rather useless, especially if something were to ever go wrong. Nothing offensive or defensive...hopefully everything stays as calm and collected as it is now, or she's in trouble. ;)

Name: Lucas Reed
Age: Also 17, also a senior

General Personality: Lucas a loud boy, and perhaps a bit of an egotistic asshole at times. But, nevertheless, it’s impossible to stay mad at him. He is pretty charismatic and enjoys spending time around others, be it long-time friends or new people. He’s very perceptive, but not exactly the brightest bulb of the bunch. He liked to crack sarcastic jokes and generally be an ass, but he almost never means anyone real harm. His anger is hard to provoke, but you definitely don’t want to be around if he cracks.

Bio Summary: Lucas has lived—or tried to live—a generally normal life. He was around thirteen when he discovered his psychic powers, much to his dismay. He was holding his dead phone in his hand when it suddenly turned on in his hands. When he took his hands off it, it turned back off. He initially dismissed it as “paranormal activity” or some other explanation an adolescent boy could come up with, but since then he started to notice that sparks would sometimes crackle between his fingers and at their tips. Slightly afraid and slightly excited, he one day walked deep into a nearby forest and tried to see if he could summon his powers. He trust his hand outward and envisioned releasing a large amount of energy, and to his shock (no pun intended) a thin but bright band of lightning spurt out from his palm and singed the bark of a nearby tree, thankfully not starting a forest fire. Since then, he vowed never to tell anyone, not even his family or closest friends, about his powers. He knew about psychics, but he didn’t want to be different, and he didn’t want to be one of them.

So, Lucas continued his life, only practicing his powers in secret and experimenting with them.

Psychic Powers: Electrokinesis: the ability to create and manipulate electric pulses and lightning. [This wasn’t on the list, but pyrokinesis was, but I thought electricity was so much more badass. Hope you don’t mind.] He has a good grip on controlling his powers, but his emotions also have a strong influence over his powers. For example, if he was to get angry, the air would become very static and sparks may crackling around his head or fingers. As a result, he has tried to get a very good grip on his emotions so his cover isn’t blown in public. This electricity is his only psychic ability, but it’s rather fitting since he’s not really the intuitive type anyway.

Do you have a preference for where they live? We don't have to be specific. Maybe a city, but not really big like New York. More homey than that. Houses have backyards, owning a car is common. I figure they need to live NEAR a big city, so her father has room to run his operation, but maybe not exactly in one. But that's probly just the country girl in me wanting a little comfortable room ;) Sound fair, best of both worlds?

Oh btw I changed her dad's name. Luke and Lucas were way too similar, I should have noticed that. Funny though, I usually name her dad Lucas and usually have her last name Reed...weird.

Hey, I've got a quick question. Even though people know psychics exist, are they very common in every day life? Like would most people know one personally or no?

Oh...I'm really bad about seeing posts, I'm sorry. Hm...I hadn't thought about it.

This is how I think about it. And I hope this comparison doesn't offend, I'm not stating what I think on this subject lol Just using it as an example! I think about it like when people come out saying they're gay. I know that number has grown since I was in high school, but I mean how many people are saying they are at your school? That's rhetorical, but you get my point. Psychics are coming out of the woodwork more and more, but still...odds are you're not sitting by one, and they're probably not in your classroom either. Down the hall yeah, a few in the lunch room with you, sure.

You remember the movie xmen. I guess I'm thinking it's a little more prevalent than in that. What do you think?

sure, or the weekend. The next big interaction I have planned is Friday, but if you have something before then feel free to skip to the next day or something. Or if you want to just play out simple conversations for them to grow closer...it's whatever, I just love them :3
