D&D Casual Campaign Test

Just a super quick check for anyone who wants to be a player (four max) in a campaign test. I have a campaign ready for my usual party of nerd friends, but I want to test the water with some random strangers on the internet first.

If you wanna give us a point-buy budget we can set up ability scores.

Edit: Point-buy's actually different for different editions, so nvm. (3d6)*7 or (4d6 drop 1)*6?

4d6 drop one is a good path, but point buy can be balancing in some respects. I will wait a while longer for some more interest, then decide.

I'm not concerned at all with characters builds for the moment. I just have no idea what edition of D&D you're running.

1st Ed, AD&D, 3.0/3.5, 4th Ed & 5th Ed.... I've played them all, and I like the ruleset for certain editions over others. That's all.

Or maybe, I'm the one that's confused about what you mean. @__@

Some people don't like the way later editions limit the uniqueness of characters, and as role players I can appreciate that this can be a problem.

It will likely be 5th Edition, though I also have experience on AD&D + 3.5

I actually plan on using discord. This way we have a platform to support every media we wish to use.

I am likely to use 5th edition, though I am not stalwart supporter of using only the resources published (add some home to that brew) :)
