Muttonhawk Let Slip the Corgis of War

Yeah, that's true. Turn based stuff would be a lot easier than a MOBA for sure, haha!

Well that was a bit longer than I expected. Or than it perhaps needed to be.

So I forget how old I made Marcaille. Do you happen to have it anywhere?

Also, I figured out that I have a combined 2,006 hours on Bethesda games on Steam, which doesn't count how long I played them on consoles.

Reading back, I accidentally contradicted something Marcaille said about her past before. Luckily, it can still be consistent. Marcaille has plenty of reason not to be entirely truthful with Ariel immediately. Though, Sabine would recognize the inconsistency.

No, I never wrote it down. If it was mentioned, it was around the battle for the stronghold near Corinthe, so...I'll hazard a guess at it being around the page 200ish mark?

And, damn, that's a lot of hours. I'm guessing most of it is ESO at this point?

I actually stopped playing ESO a while back, and I didn't have it on Steam. That time is divided between Fallout: New Vegas, Fallout 4, Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim.

Oh yeah, I completely forgot about the Fallout series for some reason. Now things make more sense.

Got pulled away for something briefly, sorry.

Where are we going to be skipping to after these scenes?

I think it might be valuable to go straight to that meeting the next morning, just to establish what the clan has been doing and what they will be doing going into the future. After that, though, it would probably be time for a more substantial timeskip to something. I don't actually have anything in mind for events while Ariel is there, but I do have an outcome in mind for her research.

Sounds good.

I've only got small things in mind. A scene between Ri'vashi and Gallus, a single letter exchange between Tzirret and Ma'tanza, and maybe Newt's naming day, though I can't remember if that's coming up soon or not.

I think the naming day would happen somewhere around adolescence.

Ah, okay. I thought that would happen during mid-childhood. Well, that can wait a few years longer.

Actually, the wiki doesn't seem to specify. Not sure why I thought it was adolescence. It can be any time, really.

I know that we'll probably do at least one scene in their adolescence to show first transformations if the RP goes that far. Maybe you were thinking of that?

As for the naming day, I had assumed it was in mid-childhood so that it was done after the big risks of child mortality were surpassed. It would be a bit difficult to not have a name until adolescence.

Well, the overarching time lapse would probably go into adolescence for them. I think I said before that it was a 10 year period we're going through right now. Although...some of the scenes have ended up a bit longer than I intended. It really was meant to be quicker, individual scenes to show a progress. After that, it's basically the final act.

Alright, so we could show both the naming day and the first transformations in scenes as we go, then.

Also, I've had this background thread going on that might raise the scale a bit, but that was slowed down by the move to Skyrim. That ought to pop up eventually.

Man, this war is a long and bloody one.

Righteo, so I only intend to write out one sent letter from Tzirret, you don't need to do more than one from Ma'tanza either. It's just a short progress update. The scene with Ri'vashi and Gallus might last a little longer depending on Ri'vashi's behaviour, but Gallus isn't going to let her brush him off so easily and she is very likely to know it.
