You mind if I bring them to the next day?

Sure. I imagine Lunise and Nytala will have plenty to catch up on before that, but a lot of that will probably be either repeating details or adding details that won't really matter given the remaining length of the story, so we can summarise that.

I'll admit, I'm assuming Lunise knows the general mechanics of souls getting destroyed, but I'm not super clear on it. Could you explain it to me OOC?

There have been a few instances of a soul being destroyed in lore, I believe. One off of the top of my head would be Malyn Varen, who trapped himself inside Azura's star, and was destroyed entirely afterwards. In the context of the ES universe, in contrast to the real world, most people can reasonably expect that their soul will persist after death in some plane or another, as there is solid proof to that fact. So, I would reason that the notion that one's soul could simply stop existing would be a bit more alarming to them.

That's reasonable to assume. Thanks!

We can move on from now if you like. You mentioned something about the Psijic Order council wanting to deal with Meesei for something? Should we go to that or something else?

Nytala mentioned that the council was interested in some of Meesei's achievements, though really, it is Nytala herself that is most interested. The last scene I have in mind in Artaeum is when they give Meesei's answer to Nytala.

To be clear, we don't have to play out a scene where Meesei and Lunise discuss how Nytala might react. It would just make sense for them to plan ahead so the following scene can be worded carefully.

I believe we can probably move on to their departure from Artaeum. After that scene is concluded, I believe the next is when they step through the first portal. Unless there is anything else to do before the point of no return.

Quick heads up: I'm on a holiday to New York for a week starting tomorrow. I'll probably keep responding, but I may miss a few days.

Are you in New York yet? You said you are going on holiday, so my guess is that you are going to New York City. From what I have been told, the rest of the state does not have much else to do. At all.

Hahah! Yes, I'm in the city and don't have plans to check out anywhere upstate. I just had a bit of time and energy leftover this afternoon to respond.

Mostly went through Chelsea and Hudson Yards today. Haven't decided what's next. Probably something that won't be too crowded for Labor Day, hopefully.

I've never been to New York myself, it's quite far away. I don't know what would be interesting to visit that isn't too "touristy". I've always wanted to visit an upscale sushi restaurant, but that's more something I would want to try on the west coast. The fish is better there.

Well, I haven't tried the sushi here in New York, but I can at least confirm the west coast sushi is good. As for what to do in New York, it depends on what interests you. There's music events, bars, restaurants, museums, galleries, all sorts of places to explore beyond the sightseeing. It's kinda overwhelming; my to do list is way too long.

I imagine Meesei and Pircalmo will be having a lengthy and in-depth conversation until Lunise finally cuts them off, so we can skip along a bit if you want.
