You know, I just thought of something. S'nashi gave Fendros an engraved silver candlestick. That would probably burn. I suppose I can assume he just was careful in where he grabbed it, if it wasn't solid silver.

By the way, when you say that it was engraved, do you mean just with decorative patterns, or with writing?

Well, google's spellcheck doesn't seem to like Peiter. It's fine with Pieter, though. Personally, I've never seen the name spelled with an i.

As for Peiter, I know a guy who has it spelt that way. I think it's Dutch or something.

Of course, both spellings of Peiter are legitimate as well. I could have swore it was Pieter you used first. I'm not dyslexic, but I suppose bad vision is enough to explain it.
