Muttonhawk Let Slip the Corgis of War

Did we want to summarise capturing the walls? I'm thinking we should skip until there is a challenge that can be written out.

Say, do you happen to be interested in Overwatch?

I played plenty of TF2 in the past, so the style and gameplay looks appealing. Really, I've had a mild interest in Overwatch for a while, but I've not got around to actually buying and playing the game. A lot of friends of mine are getting into it, though. Have you started playing it? What do you think of it?

Also, you caught me being up later than I should be. I'll probably go to sleep soon.

I got it yesterday. The base game is $40 USD on PC, though I expect that would be more in Australia. I can definitely see the comparisons with TF2, and it's a game I'm really enjoying. People probably hate me for it, but I've been playing Mei. She's like an ice version of the pyro, mixed with Ymir from Smite. I've just been looking for more people to play it with. Or any people, for that matter. I'm steadily improving my aim on PC, though there are some heroes I still can't play too well.

All of the game modes are objective based, I think, and there is a lot of variety in how the heroes function. Some require precision, some don't. Reinhardt doesn't even have a gun.

Sounds interesting. I've seen a few of the characters and some look more interesting than others, but it's still a fresh take. It looks from the outside like you don't have to worry too much about team class balance like TF2, which is nice. Though, I'd have to play it to find out for sure.

Well, I have a break in my studies in a few weeks. Perhaps I'll give it a closer look then.

Wish I could bring someone of yours with Meesei, but there are specific reasons she needs to be alone. I'll just be giving her perspective as we go, and try to keep it in line with the main group's progress. They definitely have something important to do.

No worries. If my experience with interactions between Sabine and Ariel are anything to go by, it'll just be more work for you.

I need to make sure the two different scenes are lining up properly, so I won't be posting for Meesei every time.

I managed to finish writing out all of Meesei's scene. It's only a thousand words longer than my term paper for my Operating Systems class. I just have to figure out when to include which parts of it in posts to make sure it fits with what everyone else is doing.

Nice work! If it ends up being difficult to pace, I won't mind if it gets completely posted early or if there is a big chunk at the end.

I've spent all of today moving, and filling out paperwork, but I'm home now. I'll be moving over the next few days. I'll try to get up a response soon.

You're moving? Ha, exciting times!

The post rate from me has been slow this close to exams anyway. I don't mind the wait.

Yeah, I'm having to catch up with a lot of stuff now that I'm home, so it might be a bit. Tomorrow will be much the same.

Hey, just making sure, did Sabine's opponent block the ice storm spell and the ice spear with his ward?

Yeah. The ice storm weakened it greatly, and the ice spear broke it entirely. Unfortunately, the ice spear was way overkill. Even if there is a small, weak ward that is near to breaking, a quick burst of magic like an ice spear will just break it without damaging the person behind it. I assume Sabine was panicking.

Yep, fair enough. I had assumed that the ice storm would break it, but Sabine probably did as well.

It might have, but I wanted to throw a wrench in the gears. Things don't entirely go to plan in this attack, as you've no doubt seen. Plus, it will be interesting to see what Sabine does with a fist fight.

Yeah, if she's not sneaking up on people or in beast form, Sabine is not a melee fighter in the slightest.
