I was thinking and got curious about how other people think about the past in terms of RPs. We have all these stories floating around, many in progress, some completed, and many that died somewhere along the way. Personally, I always sort of write thinking that someone could go back and read it as a sort of slightly disjointed novel (I'm mostly in Advanced RP). Where they could appreciate a story and, in particular, do not need to dig back through the character sheets or OOC OP for information never explained in character.
What do you guys think? Do you write and think of this more ephemerally, where its for us to use now and leave behind? Or are you like me where you imagine that, like a diary, someone (yourself or not) may one day go back and read all of this?

I consider roleplays as simply stories with multiple authors - I'd love to see them compiled into something sane from one or multiple perspectives someday.

There's a roleplay I'd like to do that with, but given both endings were not exactly smooth in two parts... and the third may never happen...

Another one that was simple but completed well... meh. I'd like to see em reach the point of being story compiled.

I love going back to my old role-plays and seeing what I wrote, how I wrote it, and thinking of ways in which I could improve. I use it more like an old sketchbook, something of a tool to see where I came from, how I've improved, and what I need to work on.

Otherwise, I just like to revisit those old stories and spark inspiration from them.
