One Piece: A pirate's life for me!

Well who's up for some adventuring? I'll admit, I do have some catching up to do in the series, but for the most part it will be just our crew traveling the great blue in search of the One Piece! It will take place some time after the series (I haven't decided where I'm going to stop the series and skip forward in time) but all of the technology will be the same. Some characters can use the devil fruits if you want, but I don't want the entire crew to all be people with devil fruit powers. My character will not have any powers and will simply be human.

There might even be a descendant or two of the characters from the series if I decide so!

If it's in casual, then interest definitely. I even have a (Paramecia) Devil Fruit user all made up that I'd like to try using at some point. XD

So, would Luffy's crew have failed to find One Piece and given up to go home, since we're still hunting it? Because personally I'd kinda like to imagine a more positive reason, like if Luffy and co. found it anyway Luffy might have re-hidden it after becoming King of the Pirates, just to inspire even more people to continue becoming pirates.

Nice to see you again as well, Rin! This will be casual, but please forgive me if I make any mistakes in the story or anything, I'm pretty rusty when it comes to the series, so there might be a few (or more and a few) times when I mess something up.

Luffy and his crew did manage to find the one piece, but after seeing that so many people stopped being pirates because the one thing that they were after was already claimed, he re-hid it somewhere else and spread the word that it was hidden once more to make more pirates.

Well, that depends. What Haki were you planning to use and to what extent?

I was wanting to use Kenbunshoku. I would start out weaker but over time develop it.

I'm interested in playing someone with the Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Daibutsu. Now I know what most of you are thinking, and don't worry, he wont start out as strong as Sengoku was when has first used it in the anime/manga. The reason I want to use it is because I want to explore the possibilities of it's growth. While it is canon that devil fruit powers don't get stronger, that's not what I'm talking about. I want to explore someones growing skill using that fruit. Remember how Gear Third used to shrink Luffy after use, that stopped being a problem after the time skip. Or even how much quicker and easier he can activate Gear Second after the time skip. Those are the kinds of things I want to explore with this fruit. I found it to be the most fascinating one when I first saw it, and I still think it is. So that's why I'd like to flesh it out

"Making him clumsy" doesn't exactly rectify the fact that the fruit literally turns him into a Buddhist deity, at least not in my eyes.
