Vandor, the Last Dragonborn
Vandor is a young man in his early twenties with pale blue eyes that glow violet due to his dragon soul, and has short light brown hair that goes down to his neck. He is mostly clean-shaven, though many scars dot his face, most notably a set of scars above and on his right lip. He stands at the average height of six feet two for most Nords, and has a muscular build. He has been described by many innkeepers he had previously performed for as being rather handsome, and ‘the kind the ladies like’.
Armour wise, Vandor wears a full set of ebony armour, minus a helmet that shows his face. An Amulet of Talos hangs around his neck.

Role/Occupation:
Town DJ. Since he was already a bard, and his voice flows nicely, Vandor decided to become the town's resident DJ to entertain its inhabitants, even though he does tend to fumble around with the equipment, being relatively unused to it. Other than that, he also functions as that one guy in every town who somehow manages to compose entire orchestral pieces by himself.
Skills:
Vandor is a talented bard and warrior, extremely proficient with a blade. He is also an experienced mage, being well-versed in the art of destruction magic, casting powerful spells at enemies. He has also been shown to be a good archer, having a keen eye for detail. According to him, he once hit a rabbit from two-hundred yards away during a blizzard, at night.
Vandor's main source of power comes from his mastery of the Thu'um, or Shout. His voice carries words of power that can be used to devastating effect. The power varies, with some shouts blasting enemies backwards, some summoning friendly creatures, and some helping allies.
Home:
Vandor has decided to claim a medium-sized home on the outskirts of town, furnishing it to his liking, decorating it with several of his possessions. He keeps it neat and tidy, although sometimes musical equipment can be found strewn around. Wall sconces made out of goat horns and candles line the walls, along with several trophies such as animal heads and weapons. He has since turned its garage into his own recording studio, with equipment, tools and instruments, and he has soundproofed the area. Outside, Vandor has started a small garden and placed archery targets for practice. Despite having never driven or even seen a car before arriving, he owns a Chevy that he uses to travel to and from his workplace.
Personality:
Vandor is a kind and outgoing individual with the drive to do what he feels is right, although he still has a naive side due to his relatively young age. While this would make him disarmingly friendly, many forget that he is the Dragonborn of legend, meaning that he still has some elements of a dragon’s personality, namely the love of destruction and minor greed. While Vandor has managed to keep this from showing, it has surfaced on multiple occasions when he was angered.
According to an old innkeeper and several town guards in Falkreath, a group of mercenaries had decided to harass the bard while he was performing. Unfortunately, they had unknowingly angered the Dragonborn, the man who had saved all of Nirn on multiple occasions. While the residents cannot be certain, records state that the mercenaries were either literally shouted apart, burnt to cinders, frozen and then shattered, or had their souls ripped out. Vandor was said to have calmly sat in the middle of the carnage, calming eating a sweetroll. At least he had the decency to pay for the damage.
Backstory:
Born into a family of warrior bards on the outskirts of Dawnstar, Vandor first picked up and began to play the lute before he could even walk, let alone talk. He was raised in both the ways of the lute and the sword. However, he constantly rejected his training, feeling that bards would not ever need to take up arms during war. While his parents were initially displeased with this choice, he was nonetheless gifted the Wanderer’s Lute, a family heirloom passed down from generation to generation, dating back from warrior bards of ancient times. All in all, he was happy with his peaceful life.
However, for the first time in his family’s history, their home was attacked by bandits in the dead of night. Caught unaware, his mother was the first to go down, having been cooking in the living room. His father, overcome by grief, grabbed the nearest weapon he could find and began a rampage. Though he managed to take down several bandits, he was eventually defeated by the far superior number of bandits. Panicking, Vandor drew his emergency dagger and killed for the first time that night. Horrified, he grabbed his supply bag and Wanderer’s Lute, before fleeing with the fires of his home shrinking as he sprinted through the snow-covered forest, barely out of his teens.
With nowhere else to go and little money left, he decided to do what he did best: music. For more than four years, Vandor would travel around the province, performing for strangers he happened to come across and occasionally play in local taverns for a meagre sum of gold. Despite all this, he felt happy for once, feeling that he was doing what he was born to do.
When the Civil War broke out, Vandor had the misfortune of performing for a group of Stormcloak soldiers in the woods, and was captured along with them. He was sentenced to be executed along with the leader of the rebellion, Ulfric Stormcloak. Thankfully, the dragon god Alduin just so happened to swoop down on Helgen, and amidst the confusion, the bard managed to escape. Unfortunately, Alduin the World Eater had returned to sow chaos and destruction on the mortal races of Nirn after thousands of years.
After his brush with death, Vandor travelled to Whiterun to warn its jarl of the new dragon threat. Unexpectedly, another dragon appears right after he retrieved the ancient artefact known as the Dragonstone that shows the location of ancient dragon burial sites. With the help of several guards and the jarl’s housecarl Irileth, Vandor managed to defeat the it. It was here that he learned of his identity as the Dragonborn when he absorbed the soul of his fallen enemy, a warrior with immerse power. With his newfound power of the Thu’um, or Shout, he was summoned by the Greybeards for training.
Soon, he learned of the Blades, an ancient order dedicated to serving the Dragonborn. It was also when he learned that he was not just any Dragonborn, but the last one. The Dragonborn prophesied to defeat Alduin once and for all. But Vandor realised that he would not be able to do so just yet with his current lack of skill, and joined the Companions, a guild of warriors for help.
Many months of training later, he was finally ready to face the World Eater head-on, and after the capture of Alduin’s dragon lieutenant Odahviing, he travelled to Skuldufan, where a portal to Sovngarde, the Nordic afterlife lay. He travelled to Sovngarde and finally defeated Alduin with the help of ancient Nord heroes. Returning back to the mortal realm, he was hailed as a hero by not just the inhabitants of Skyrim, but also the dragons all around.
His adventure would not be over just yet, however, as he would go on to save the world two more times, defeating a Vampire Lord who wanted to blot out the sun, and the First Dragonborn, Miraak. But that’s a story for another time.
Life in the Town:
Vandor woke up in the town feeling dazed and confused after passing out from a drinking contest with some guy named Sam Guevenne. Hungover and completely smashed, he wandered around the area before entering a house and passing out. When he woke up again, he decided to find out what was going on and managed to contact the other inhabitants of the area. As the story unfolded, his confusion grew. What was with the tower again?
However, after some time living here, he decided to take over the local radio station and become its DJ, with him being a bard and all.
Prized Possession:
The Wanderer's Lute, an ancient family heirloom passed down from generation to generation. The lute is of clearly ancient design, with a longer and thinner neck than those of modern design. It has a black body resembling a stag beetle. When played, the lute has an effect on the user and allies, though the effects differ and depend on the type of song played. The effects can range from healing allies to making them fight harder.
