New to the idea of online Role Playing...

I have been an avid gamer since the 80's

I have played sooo many games it is hard to recall them all.

I plan on reading some Open RP and see what I think.

Welcome to the guild. You should be able to find whatever information you need, either from guides or members.

I remember when I was new to site-based RP (though not role-playing or writing), somewhere in the region of 10+ years ago. I actually started out joining a very advanced RP forum at that point, where you needed really large character profiles to register and had to post within the region of around 5 paragraphs or so. With that in mind, you probably picked a good place to introduce yourself to the concept, since there's places for beginner, intermediate, and experienced RPing.
