Beacon Academy

A home and training ground to Vale's best and brightest, where knowledge meets skill to create an Academy worth of training the greatest warriors. You have been invited to train at Beacon Academy, to become heroes and champions of Remnant defending it from the Grimm.

With the end of the war, and peace restored we have established four new academies. We invite you to join and train among the best and brightest as Huntsman and Huntresses here at Beacon. We wish to put the war behind and celebrate this new peaceful era, join us in the dawn of this new age.

So this roleplay will take place in the RWBY universe after the great war, but before the massive surge in tech that came afterwards. The idea is to tell the story of the first class to train in the newly built academies, the story of the first teams, the story of the first generation of children to live in a time of peace.

@NecroKnight Well obviously, first and foremost would be Faunus rights revolution which would follow during the school year, other than that. The first Vytal festival, not to mention missions to keep peace and rescue those in need. With the war having drained the world of experienced Huntsmen the rookies will have to take on missions even as first year students just starting out.

Aight. But wasn't the Faunus revolution later years?

@NecroKnight No it's stated it was earlier, but my best guess would say that it had to come shortly after the Great War, for them to have inexperienced military leaders in charge of armies. That means they would have needed new armed forces, which would only happen after peace and establishment of new academies and governments.

I wanted to ask, though, what would the tech level roughly be? Obviously not as advanced as what present-day RWBY has, but are we talking as old fashioned as Jaune's or something more like Professor Port's?

@Krayzikk I would look more to Qrow for gear simply mechcanical parts. More reliance on dust and melee combat than firearms, also no scrolls, no airships, and no easy communication.

@Aquaknight Yes Faunus are an option. How they are looked down upon and are much rarer.
