Warcraft: A Second Chance for Azeroth - Modern People Transported to Azeroth!

I. Intro

The Timeline has been thrown out of balance. When Admiral Daelin Proudmoore's fleet was lost in the Maelstrom, one of the main causes of conflict between Horde and Alliance was wiped away, as without the Admiral's attempts to attack the Horde, and his subsequent death doing so, there was now no cause for the Horde to accept the Forsaken, or the Alliance to make overtures to the Night Elves, who, in this continuum, were and are still a force that can stand against both Alliance and Horde.

Because of this, the Forsaken fight against the Scarlet Crusade and the Scourge without any help; Thrall and his nation of Durotar continue to consolidate and prosper, and Stormwind...Stormwind and Ironforge plan to take back what was once theirs. But, with the peace comes a reduction in the power of both Alliance and Horde; rendering them vulnerable to the Burning Legion, the Old Gods, and, of course, the coming madness of Malygos.

This has resulted in the Bronze Dragonflight deciding to try a...radical solution to their problems; after all, the Timeline has been irreparably thrown off-kilter anyway, so what harm would more manipulation do? So, with the assent of a deviant faction of the Bronze Dragonflight, the Bronze Dragon, Kairoz, has decided to go to another world, a world in which Azeroth is the stuff of fiction, and recruit - perhaps even forcibly - people with the skills, brains, and brawn to make their world a better place...

In plainsman's terms; you have been transported to Azeroth because of a skill you have, like Engineering, Physics, or even just Gunplay. Your job is to avert the M. Night Shalyaman-like events of WoW, perhaps by founding a kingdom/republic of your very own.

II. Magic and Technology

You have no Magical Powers at first, but there's nothing that can stop you from learning them as soon as you have the time and opportunity to. For reference, here's how Magic works in Azeroth:

https://warcraft.wiki.gg/wiki/Magic

Technology, meanwhile, is something you can take with you from Earth; stuff connected to the Internet won't function, but stuff like guns, if you have the skills to maintain them, can. You are allowed to carry as much technology and gear as your own body weight.

As for Azerothian technology, whether Steampunk or Magitech, no, you don't start with any, but you can purchase it from Goblins and Gnomes (should you have the money) or loot it from enemies.

III. Gold and Language Barriers, and other Transportation Mechanics

Thanks to the good graces of the Bronze Dragonflight, you guys start out with a combined pool of 100,000 Gold, 99 Silver, and 99 Copper Coins, which is situated in a chest outside your Transport point. There are also two other chests containing a month's worth of food and water. Not merely that, but most language barriers have been eliminated; everything from Orcish to Gutterspeak now translates to English.

As for said Transport Point, you are going to the Ruins of Stromguarde, currently split between the Alliance, the Syndicate, and the Boulderfist Ogres. There, your job is to hold back the latter two groups, use duplicity or force to gain the allegiance of the first one, and generally use the place as a base for your new Kingdom/Republic. After that...you have to be pragmatic; you can't destroy either the Alliance, the Horde, or the Night Elves (which, as stated, are a third faction that is just as powerful as either two), but you can either 1.) Politically and economically undermine them so that you can take over yourselves, or 2.) Unite all three in a pact under your leadership.

Or, you can ally with the Forsaken and take over Azeroth together; that works too.

IV. Factions of Azeroth

The Alliance: The Alliance has seen better days, what with the defeat of its last holdouts in Lordareon, the loss of Admiral Proudmoore's fleet, and the problems caused by internal threats such as the Defias Brotherhood. However, Stormwind itself remains strong, and so does Ironforge, while Theramore, without the Admiral Proudmoore Crisis to disturb it, is at peace with the Horde, which, without Garrosh, maintains no worldwide ambitions.

The Horde: The Orcs continue their spiritual rediscovery of the powers of Shamanism, as well as their atonement for the sins of the past. Though distrusted by the Alliance, nothing has happened to disturb the fragile peace; in this continuity, Alterac Valley's issues were resolved peacefully, while the Horde doesn't support the Forsaken's activities at Arathi Basin. Warsong Gulch, meanwhile, continues to be a sore point between the Horde and the Night Elves, although the latter are holding up on their own without Alliance support, and Warchief Thrall is looking for alternative sources of Lumber.

The Forsaken: The Forsaken are truly Forsaken this time; they failed to dupe the Horde into letting them in, the Alliance hates them, and the Scarlet Crusade and the Scourge are trying to take back territory that they regard as theirs. However, this has made them more ruthless, especially as their more...sane members defected to the Argent Dawn (see below). Now, progress on their 'New Plague' continues, and, one day, the Hour of the Forsaken might come...

The Argent Dawn: The Argent Dawn are your greatest allies; why? Because Kairoz has apprised them of your coming, and several of their members are setting out to join you, in order to provide added brawn and expertise.

The Syndicate

The Boulderfist Ogres

And many, many more!

V. Rules

1.) Anti-Heroes are allowed, but make sure that they're able to work with the others; no PC can function alone, even my GMPC. Outright villains, however, need special GM Permission.

2.) No Alliance/Horde Bashing! The evil deeds the Horde does in WoW have been butterflied away (most of them, anyway) and Warchief Thrall is genuinely interested in redeeming the faction, and is no longer stupid enough to trust obviously evil people. His Marty Stuness has also been butterflied away. As for Varian Wrynn, the events of the WoW Comic (Which I am assured is terrible) have been butterflied away, too, meaning that he is no longer a Marty Stu/Jerkass Prick.

3.) No Godmoding.

Shoot this looks really cool. I would be more excited if this was Warcraft 3 era stuff, but either way consider me interested.
