In general, I find that I'd rather just be honest with people and risk having some drama, instead of wear a mask. I'm far more interested in being true to myself, and if that causes some drama then so be it.

Lol, I see. That's a long title, yeah. I'll take a look eventually if I get time.

My character profiles on this site are considerably more simplified than they are for GA, especially since the first two posts of characters were brand new to this site, then the next post is full of canon characters I've adapted, and finally the GRG characters only have a portion of the CS visible because the 'Private CS' part is kept hidden in PM.

@Shoryu Magami Heh, I haven't really put any of my profiles I've done in any RP on that thing, mostly the Super Detailed Profiles I am working on and I got a lot. Even have two of the templates I use on the bottom of the page, one for the Humanoid Characters and the other for AI Controlled Spaceships.

Ah, right. I don't think I'd put up my GA characters in a thread on this site, but I might. I feel like I'd be more inclined to just make a Wiki.

I've got a few other profiles on this site, but they're only in PM since I never ended up applying for the role-plays.

While we're seemingly on the topic of character profiles and stuff, I tend to just keep them in a .txt file on my desktop rather than in a separate thread. Most of them are one-offs designed specifically for their respective RPs, so.

It's a mix for me. While I'm not putting up profiles for my GA project on this site, the characters that I've used here vary between those I could easily transfer from one role-play to another to ones which are strictly for a single thread.

In particular, the first two posts (not counting the index) in my CS thread contain characters that I explicitly designed to be usable in other threads (considering I never really took part in the IC of one of the threads, and the other one was a PvP battle which only gave very limited information on the character).

Really, I created a CS thread just to showcase my history on the site more than anything, since it's barely even a fraction of the characters I actually have.

Yeah, I can understand that kind of thought process. Personally though, I consider myself to be a very shoddy writer, so looking at past creations years or even months later would make me cringe like a motherfucker.

Well, I wouldn't beat yourself up, because it's actually true that even really good writers often look back at their old work and feel dissatisfied.

Considering I don't usually get that into writing/role-playing outside of my GA project's setting, or a setting connected to it (the current GRG project I'm running), I try to make sure characters I create who aren't part of those projects are versatile enough to be used multiple times, since even managing to make one character outside of my main work who I'd hold a lasting interest in using is tricky for me -- I'm far too obsessed with my GA project, but it's not inherently a bad thing.

Yeah, I've run into that problem recently. I create a character about a month ago, and that next month I have an idea for a more interesting one that I could've used instead. That's why I like RPs that allow for participants to play as more than one character at a time.

I had a problem, where I had to RP like, 30+ Characters.... in one RP, that was somewhat insane. However, that was on a small RP forum and not a behemoth like this one aka only 60 people on that one.

I don't so much lose interest in characters once I make them so much as I have a difficult time creating a character I'm interested in using in the first place, unless they're linked to my main project. There's some exceptions though, like the ones I've made on this site so far.

The current role-play I'm running allows multiple characters, but it has a player character cap of twenty-one and we're getting close to reaching it (because I've started filling in the missing slots with additional characters of my own).

I'll be playing dozens of characters at once in GRG, given how many NPCs I expect there to be and how I've got multiple player characters.
