The Legion of Superheroes were once the defenders of the United Planets that spanned across various space sectors. Founded by three young superpowered individuals, their numbers grew for years. Until one day their smartest member, Brainiac 5, finally gave in to the evil in the back of his programming. The original Brainiac from the 21st century implanted the young hero with a techno virus during a battle with Superman and the Legion that spanned the timeline, where Superman believed he successfully destroyed the ancient technological juggernaut. The now augmented physical and technological powers and abilities of the once great Legionnaire is enough to overthrow even the United Planets after successfully wiping out more than half of the members of the Legion.
Now the remaining Legionnaires attempt to rise from the ashes to take back the cosmos. Sun Killer, the Persuader, and Brainiac 5 all stand in their way during this campaign.

It's been awhile since I've done anything stat based so I figured it was time to dust off the ol' stat system and try to get another game going. Don't let the word 'stats' scare you off just yet either. The stats are mostly just for the battling. I was gonna put this secondary iCheck in the General iCheck sub-forum but I'm looking for at least the Casual standard when we're not battling enemies. While we're still telling a story from our heroes POV, the battles will give each scene more weight when we're put in situations we can barely overcome if at all. If your health drops and you're facing impossible odds, you'll either accept defeat and get taken by the enemy or retreat or find cover. There will likely be a twist as far as what Level stats you begin with. Cannon characters would probably start at Level 3, inspired characters based off cannon material would begin at Level 2, and complete originals would be Level 1.
I'm gonna keep this short and simple since a lot of times these things don't take off. My stat system is fairly basic, and most of the stats just limit you to what you can do in-battle as far as how many attacks you can have per post [Speed], how strong they are [Strength], what different attacks [Attack], how many defensive moves you can have per battle and what they are [Defense], and then of course there's an IQ stat and a health stat. Characters would begin with level 1 stats [16 stat points] and gain another level/stat point for every 5 posts in-game. A signature move is awarded at Level 3 and depending on your IQ stat is worth double or triple damage or double or triple defense. A signature defense is the only defense for a signature attack and the only defensive move you can use for another player.
There are more details in the opening post of the original Tabletop iCheck as far as CS requirements, what characters we've already got in the pipeline, etc. Looking to recruit two or three more people. If you're not familiar with stat games in general this is easy enough for beginners and more like a dumbed down version of D&D without the need for dice rolls. Once in awhile I'll just swoop in and control the enemies and put a hurtin' on ya if I feel the story could benefit from more desperate situations.
