The Peace Keepers
"Some kill for power. Some kill for peace."
The Inner Worlds of the Empire have fallen. The gene-culling of the trans-humanist movement known as Golgotha scorched the core worlds of the Llyr Empire. Taking cues from an ancient religion, the near-perfect humans waged a 'holy' war against the civilized nations and utterly destroyed them. In return, the Golgotha were hunted down by the nations of the Outer Alliance, a confederation of nations that managed to shake off the shackles of Empire in the waning years of that great power. The remnant forces of the Golgotha managed to escape and have carved out a dominion of their own...
Feel free to techno-babble your way through technological stuff. Keep the 'Space Magic' stuff to a minimum. Remember this is a political NRP, not an epic movie narrative.
This RP takes place in a galaxy far, far away, so no 'earth' or 'terran' nations please. Original, unique races are encouraged. As such, I am excepting only races/nations created specifically for this RP.
Battles should be determined and agreed upon by the players involved. Use common sense and talk in the OOC as you see fit.
Stay active. If your going to drop out, let us know! I prefer people deactivate 'ghost mode' but it's not a requirement.

In Peacekeepers, you take the role of a nation in an era of reconstruction and uncertainty in the galaxy. Enter the Unity Accords; a council of nations and factions that have signed a treaty in hopes of bringing peace and prosperity to the Galaxy. Roleplay will consist of political interaction via the Galactic Council, an organization consisting of those players that choose to sign the Accords. The main stipulations of the Unity Accords are as follows:
- Faster-Than-Light-Travel is restricted to use of Warp Gates
- Planet-Killer Weapons are restricted to Members of the UA Security Council Nations
- Former Empire Planets are to be re-colonized by UA members
- The UA vows to defend other members of the UA
Nation Name:
Seal/Symbol/Crest/Motto: (If you wish)
Officials:
Probably a list of people you will be roleplaying as. Include a few of these from whatever part of your nation is relative. Update as necessary.
Core Worlds:
You need not list every world under your nations flag, but include some important ones like major economic hubs/ports, and governmental centers etc.
Brief History:
Don't give me an exhaustive history of your nation or race from primordial times, just catch us up from the era of the Llyr Empire.
Primary Species:
Briefly describe the primary species of your nation. If your nation has multiple species, include them here as well.
Policy:
Where does your nation stand on certain issues? You need not write your nations stance on every issue but pick one or two things. For instance, how do they view the heavy regulations of FTL?
Economy:
Advanced powers probably have a mixed economy of resource production, mining, manufacturing, tourism etc.
Military:
Sample Branches of the Military:
Fleet
Special Forces
Intelligence Service etc.
Maps:
Not necessary, but feel free to map any aspect of your nation that you wish. Homeworlds, systems etc. You may claim a section of the galactic map as your own as well, but the borders are an abstraction and merely represent your nations presence in the galaxy. If you wish, I can draw your nation in as I see fit.
Place everything in Hiders with the section header as the Hider tag. I.e. [hider=Economy][hider=Policy] etc.

Many lengthy histories of the Llyr (Llyre, Llyrian, Lear) Empire exist, some riddled with criticism and condemnation-others with admiration and deification of the long succession of emperors leading back to the Zylatt Republic, without which we cannot begin to tell the history of the Llyr Empire, for it was through the use of technology built by the Zylatt that the Llyr Empire began, and by which it eventually fell to ruin...
The earliest records of the Llyrian rise to power begin in the Zylatt (Republic), an early Kingdom of the post inter-galactic period marked by the free trade and exchanging of ideas that flourished between the civilized worlds and outer systems. The Zylatt were not without fault however as that government quickly fractured with the rapid rise of technological advancement, continuous contact with barbarous 'outer system' species and the degeneration of a corrupt and increasingly complex bureaucracy. The politicians would find themselves at the mercy of a fiercely intelligent General named Caeda, from the planet Llyra II, at the edge of the civilized systems.

Cartography
A basic map of the galaxy. Borders are estimated. Feel free to add your own maps in the Characters tab after your nation has been accepted.
circa 3480 Llyr Calendar
Races
A collection of accepted player created and NPC races.
Ships are divided by class in PEACEKEEPERS. When building a fleet, use common terminology so we know what your talking about-beyond that, feel free to customize your ships etc.
Corvette
Small ships, usually tasked with transporting VIPs, precious objects, or accompanying a larger fleet for ship-to-ship transport.
Frigate
Frigates are quick and maneuverable, larger than corvettes, but much smaller and lightly armed compared to Destroyers. Patrolling and escorting are common duties for frigates.
Destroyer
A Destroyer is the smallest ship capable of on-board FTL drives (Although highly illegal). Well armed and armored, Destroyers often act independently of larger fleets and have considerable offensive capabilities.
Cruiser
Cruisers are a medium sized ship capable of independent FTL, and often act as escort. Historically used as anti-fighter escorts, planetary bombers and long-range strike ships.
Dreadnought
The leviathans in the deep. Dreadnought class ships are the largest offensive fighting ship and often comprise the heart of any stellar fleet. Dreadnoughts are often flagships and are capable of transporting and using Planet Killing Weapons.
Carriers
The dropships, fighter-carriers and mixed use ships of any fleet. Carriers come in many shapes and sizes, often under heavy escort as weapons space usually committed to other type ships is exchanged for hangars, storage and on-board barracks.

Universal Technology is any tech that is available across the board-any player may use a version of it, along with the consequences implied...
Unity Accord Accepted Tech
Terraforming
Regenerative Medicine
Eternal life is well within reach for the right price.
Warp Gates
Energy Weapons
High-powered weapons are costly and many smaller nations view them as strictly tools of the elite nations of the Galactic Council.
Controversial Technology
Cybernetic Assimilation
The widespread use of Cybernetic Assimilation during the waning years of the Llyr Empire fed bodies into a horrific war.
Planet Killing Weapons (PKW)
While the production of Weapons of Mass Destruction continues, the use of such PKW's are strictly forbidden.
Gene Manipulation & Genetic Engineering
The terror war waged by the transhumanists known as The Golgotha have cast a shadow over the advancements in genetic engineering of living things. The Unity Accord makes provisions banning the widescale use of Genetic meddling.
FTL Drives
Faster-Than-Light travel is highly regulated in an effort to control trade and the potential for large-scale war. Ships are required to use fixed-orbit Warp Gates belonging to Galactic Council nations.

The Historical Database (found in the Character Tab) may be added to by any Accepted nation to help fill out the galaxy lore. Records are collected In-Character by something called the Artificial Curator-a Llyr Era A.I. that scours public networks for information. Anyone may add anything to the record whether it be true or not-and players may then use that Lore as they see fit. Entries may go back thousands of years, or be a record of more contemporary views. Hopefully this will work to help integrate nations backgrounds and histories.
