"Something's coming. Something that's beyond any one of us. Maybe beyond all of us."
Since the beginning of time, there have been witches. Women and men who traffic with strange and dark powers, wielding abilities beyond what most people can even dream of. They tend to congregate in covens for fellowship, learning, and defense. One of the most famous, or infamous, covens is the Carlsford Coven, named for its hometown in North Carolina.
Since the beginning of time, there have been hunters. Men and women who have sworn to defeat witches, and protect innocent and ignorant people from their threat. Now, a group of hunters have descended upon Carlsford, seeking to wipe out the local coven.
But things are stirring in the darkness beyond the world, things that no coven or group of hunters can stand up to alone. Can the two sides put aside their differences, or are millennia of differences and hatred too much to overcome?
In this RP, you can play either a witch or hunter. (Or both, there's no character limits.) Characters do not necessarily have to be affiliated with one side or the other at the start; you could, for example, have a witch who's just found out that they have powers and eventually come across the coven. Note also that not all witches are necessarily evil, nor are hunters always good. Dark and light is a better way to think of it.
