The year is 2085, just five years after Initiation: Recall at Watchpoint: Gibraltar, and the war with the heroic Overwatch Organization against the terrorist forces led by the infamous Talon Group is at its highest peak. Both sides are exchanging heavy blows towards one another, from blowing up bases of operations, to taking out various members, yet they remain locked in a bitter stalemate. No matter what they do, no matter how hard they try to push in to break it, they are always pushed back to square one, forcing to rethink their strategy. Some even say that this war can never be won and that this will forever be an eternal conflict, if not estimating an end in the very far future.

However, that might just change... within the favor of Overwatch. Recently, the organization created a separate division to recruit new and youthful recruitments, dedicated in helping to stop the conflict, known as Deltawatch. While this idea isn't entirely new, as was the creation of the covert ops Blackwatch was formed back during the Omnic Crisis and First Terrorist War, this organization was much more user-friendly and is a force that's under the watchful eye of their parent organization. Deltawatch usually participates in smaller to medium-scaled missions, mostly to appeal to the new audience, while leaving the more advanced missions to Overwatch alone.

Each new member is assigned to a team of seven, who are trained and counseled by an advisor coming straight from Overwatch itself. There are currently 6 advisors for Deltawatch, they being: Soldier 76, Reinhardt, Ana, Mercy, Torbjörn, and Tracer, with more coming in eventually. When a mission pops up, each team selects one of their recruits to form up into a mixed team and head out on their mission, sometimes supervised by one of the said advisors.

But they must be careful...

Talon has also been tightening their forces as well, recruiting more talented individuals to assist them with their cause. Many of them are extremely deadly and must not be trifled with. Deltawatch should be prepared to combat any terrorist forces that come their way, no matter how big the odds are. The race to break the stalemate has just begun. Join the fight!

Welcome to the extended universe of Overwatch! This RP takes place just several years after Recall and focuses on a youthful division known as Deltawatch. These characters will mostly be youthful teens and young adults, ranging from 16 - 25 years old, as they, along with old familiar faces, team up in order to stop the evil Talon Organization along with other terrorist threats across the globe. You can play as a Deltawatch hero (limited spots) and/or a Talon character (no limits). Hope to have 8 hero characters that can be split up to form two teams of four, going out on rather stealthy missions, with an occasional mega mix up for any epic skirmish that happens to come across. That's basically all you need to know.

You guys should know the rules already (no metagaming, god-modding, whining-like-a-lil bitch, etc), so I don't really need to go through them. The only one you need to know... is to have fun! If you have any questions, please feel free to ask me. Again, have fun!

Zhi has a small drone that floats around her. This drone repairs her armor if it is damaged, however it will not heal wounds.

Primary Fire
Zhi's gun fires out regular shotgun rounds, her magazine holding around 10 shells. The pellets have a relatively tight spread, allowing for slightly longer ranged engagements. It's capable of both automatic and semi-automatic fire.

Secondary Fire
The alternate fire on Zhi's gun creates a small forward magnetic barrier that repels most incoming fire, forcing it back at the attacker. However, it can only stop bullets and projectiles, so lasers are unaffected by it. This barrier is short-lived and can only protect Zhi from the front, but not the back. This is a one-way barrier, thus allowing Zhi to fire through it.

Attack Drone
Zhi deploys an attack drone that assists her in attacking enemies within range. This drone has a limited amount of energy and will return to Zhi's mobile drone station for recharge.

Zhi deploys a small drone that seeks out electronics and causes a small EMP that disables HUDs, shields and electronics for a short time. It also reveals the enemy's position on allied HUDs and radars.

Zhi deploys her arsenal of drones that attack nearby enemies for a short period of time. She also gains a reflective shield during the deployment.

Biography:
Zhi-Ya had a relatively average life.. For an aspiring engineer. She and her parents lived in Taiwan during her childhood. As a child, Zhi loved hearing the stories about the heroics that took place during the Crisis, especially about the works of Torbjörn. She wished that she could see such mechanical marvels.

Most of her time was spent inside, taking apart various devices and machinery. Often revealing to her parents, a pile of scrap metal that can somehow move. Her parents had some problems with her hobbies, but most of the headache was caused by her aspirations. Zhi wanted to become a combat engineer, like her idol. It was one thing to aspire to an engineer. It was another thing to aspire to be a part of a dead organization like Overwatch. Especially when it closed down after extreme controversy.

However, such things didn't matter to Zhi. She felt that her childhood heroes were still around, perhaps slowly making the world a better place again. During her late teens, she had joined the military for a few years for training purposes, but this didn't stop her from continuing her craft. After being reprimanded for tinkering with military weapon systems, she was forced to demonstrate their uses. Zhi had actually improved upon the original design of their weapons, much to the surprise of her superiors.

Zhi had become somewhat of a prodigy among her peers. Creating her own marvels of engineering that were sought after by many companies, mainly military defense manufacturers and those who profit from conflict.

Despite her training, she's still quite 'fresh' when it comes to the battlefield, often causing her to overthink
the situation at times.

Abilities:

Neutral Ability: Piercing

- D-A's blades allow him to penetrate and bypass through enemy shields and barriers, although not completely. He will still deal a fraction of damage to the person(s) hiding behind said barrier however. Note that he cannot destroy shields and barriers with this skill alone.

Weapon Ability: Pulse Blades

- D-A repeatedly slashes using his two blades. What they lack in range, they cover up in damage and agility. This makes D-A suited for single-target enemies.

Special Ability 1: Shield Shell

- When things get rough, D-A can clasp both of his blades together to form a pseudo-shield in front of him, which drastically reduces damage he receives in the front, but in turn attacks dealt from behind will damage him more. During this defensive retreat, he sprints and gains a boost in movement speed, he cannot however turn around or jump. Afterwards, he slashes in front of him in an X-shape, damaging any unfortunate enough to get in its way.

Special Ability 2: Feedback

- D-A kneels and assumes a defensive stance with his blades, similar to the one in Shield Shell. In this stationary stance, D-A cannot move or use any other ability, but any damage he receives in the stance will be reduced, with most of it being absorbed into his blades. After a few seconds, he unleashes a wave of energy whose size and damage are equivalent to the damage he received in the stance. If the stance is interrupted in any way (Sleep, Knocked Down, Stun, Hack, Freeze, etc.), the skill is cancelled.

Ultimate: In a Flash

- D-A sharpens his blades and taunts the enemy, and in a blur he proceeds to violently hack and slash away at his foes with his blades at a blinding speed. Damage and speed is boosted in this state but his defenses are drastically lowered, he can only travel in a straight, linear, line, BUT he is able change directions, just not backwards.

More man than machine, Alfonso Jiménez swore an oath to his family and to himself that he'd do anything in his power to free them from their impoverished lifestyle, even if it meant sacrificing bits and pieces of his humanity.

Being the eldest of three, Alfonso and his family were never quite the brightest nor the richest bunch of people, but what they lacked in funds they made up in happiness. They grinned as they gritted their teeth through strenuous hard work, hoping that one day it would all pay off and, even if it was just a dream, they'd be living the modest lifestyle they had always yearned for. But like most dreams, once you awake, you become greeted by the harshest of realities.

Alfonso had thought that his homeland were free from the shackles of oppression and despotism they had once suffered through, but history shows that it ceases to learn from those who have set an example, and that one's own kin can either be their greatest ally or their worst enemy. A tax collector stubbornly demanded that he and his family pay up, at first it was reasonable and with a little dash of luck and perseverance they would always pull through, sometimes at the last minute, but it got to the point where the taxes went from being reasonable to downright criminal. No matter what pleading, no matter how much sweat and blood they would pour into every ounce of their labor, they simply couldn't afford to pay, then things got violent...

Not one to handle the smug snake, Alfonso's father got himself into a fight with the collector, which resulted in him being arrested. In a fit of rage, a young Alfonso proceeded to assault the man the same but was easily subdued by him. He panted and heaved, stronger...He had to become stronger. Not just for himself, but for his family. Unable to take residence, his family were thankfully kept in safe hands with relatives who were generous enough to take them in, so as long they did their fair share of work around the house. But Alfonso declined, rather than stand idly by he set himself on a journey to become stronger, even if it meant taking desperate measures.

After a fair amount of time travelling, he had butted heads with a mysterious person who had been tracking him for a while and was interested in his quest of becoming stronger. The shady person offered him a deal, and in his state, he hurriedly agreed, even when the cloaked figure mentioned he would "No longer resemble his former self." Through details better left unknown, the man known as Alfonso was no more and he had become more machine than man, Alfonso was nothing more than a shell of his former self. But...Now he was stronger! He was better in every way! But at what cost? Alfonso could have cared less, all he knew now was that he had everything he needed to help his family. The figure however, had other plans and had planned to turn him into a living, subservient weapon, and thought of it as "due payment." even trying to persuade the machine-man by promising a life of grandeur for both him and his family. The offer was tempting but when he politely declined, the man became violent, what was a cybernetically-enhanced boy to do? Making good use of his upgrades he was able to subdue and flee from the figure. And although he was grateful, he could sense the malicious intentions.

To make ends meet, he began taking various odd jobs that would require his aid, and more often than not, he was greeted with questionable looks. When asked for his name, all he would say was "D-A", short for "Don't Ask".

Extra/Theme:

In terms of personality, Alfonso tends to come off as arrogant, immature, and reckless. Preferring to jump straight ahead into the action without any further planning, his "Slash now, talk later." attitude is what puts him at odds with many of the people he encounters, as more often than not he tends to cause a majority of trouble due to his playfully reckless personality. Thanks to his upgrades, he seems to hold a high regard of himself, thinking he's all that when in reality he's not, point this out and he begins to fumble on his words and shows more of his rarely seen modest side. It's easy to understand why he compensates for a lot of the things he does.

If one had to put it in easier terms, it would be that he has his heart and ideals in the right place but his attitude is not.

Biography:
It is said that the Redfield family supported a group of terrorists during the fall of Overwatch. Aryn's great grandfather, Jonathan was mixed up into the conspiracy and rumored to supply a group known as The Talon. Oddly enough, Jonathan was found with illegal tech that was being delivered to The Talon and was quickly arrested. But not even, Jonathan knew where the tech came from when was he questioned. Ultimately he was arrested for supporting a terrorist group and later killed himself in prison. Now the Redfield's reputation slowly began to crumble and so did their company, Red Lox had ended in bankruptcy. Aryn's father, Jon now lead a life in the shadows attempting to regain the family he once had, though he was bashed for being the son of a terrorist and eventually had to go into hiding. In this moment of, Jon's life he manages to find love. A woman named, Lillian Silvester had stepped into his life. They developed a deep connection together-- having a great understanding of, Jon and guided him to a better path. There he slowly regained stability with his soon to be lover, Lillian. He became happier and returned to the man he used to be before the downfall of , Red Lox. After two years of dating, Jon finally decides to marry, Lillian and has a baby named, Aryn. Their, Aryn is created and leads a path that is very similar to, Jon's.

⦁ Neutral Ability: Overdose- As enemies absorb more poison from Viper's revolver and his ultimate , they will begin to take more and more damage from the poison over time.
⦁ Weapon Ability: Poison Dart:
Fires a tranquiliser shot filled with a weak venom from his revolver, typically dealing a small amount of damage and injecting a small amount of venom into the targets bloodstream; as more venom circulates around a targets circulatory system, the more likely the target is to eventually succumb to the venom.
⦁ Special Ability 1: Acid Throw
Throws a large vial of concentrated sulphuric acid capable of melting through thin layers of steel and causing damage to flesh on contact.
⦁ Special Ability2: Get-away Gas
Drops a flask filled with incredibly dense smoke that will stop anybody nearby from seeing him.
⦁ Ultimate Ability: Arsenic Leak
Viper releases an incredibly poisonous gas that will heavily damage anyone who inhales the gas, the gas will linger for several seconds until it drifts up into the sky or is filtered out due to a ventilation system.

Biography: Theodore had a relatively average childhood and, despite his rather disturbing habit of capturing insects and other small animals before dropping them into weak acids to see what the results were, he was generally well-behaved and had impeccable manners. He had never had much interest in wars or government organisations such as Overwatch, even in it's prime he shrugged it off as a puppet organisation.

At the age of 22, Theodore gained a degree in toxicology and began working in laboratories to develop new toxins for military use, however his work was soon discovered by the UN and was arrested for unethical practises, such as testing his chemicals on animals without permission. However , instead of losing his license and serving a sentence he was approached by a rather..shady individual who offered him an alternative; work in the USA for a organisation (who's name he would not reveal for 'legal reasons') on any projects they gave him. Naturally the toxicologist agreed.

After several months of working, it became clear the organisation Theodore was working for was not a mere cleaning company as he was put onto projects to create many nonsensical ideas such as invisibility potions or heat vision potions. However his most recent project was far more practical, despite it being as ridiculous. The company had ordered him to devise a truth serum as they called it. While this was not his field, he had been supplied a variety of candidates to test on and many chemicals to use as a base, he had told his employers he was close to a break through, but then something interesting happened to the doctor.

During one of the doctor's many late night work sessions , an agent of Talon had been sent to pay him a visit. Despite Theodore's efforts to escape, he was trapped inside his testing chambers with the agent, taking a final stand against the operative; he (literally) threw everything he had at the figure, from microscopes to highly corrosive poisons. Eventually however, the scientist slipped on one of the many puddles of acid in the room and fell, causing a vial of highly concentrated acid in his hand to smash over his face as he fell.
Fortunately for Theodore, the acid did not damage any vital organs. Unfortunately , he was knocked out cold and taken by the Talon agent to one of their bases. There, it was explained to him that they were not attempting to kill him, but instead recruit him to develop poisons and serums without the ethical restrictions he was originally bound by, all they asked for was the truth serum he had supposedly developed. The doctor then informed them he had made no progress on the serum as he thought it was far too complex for any single man to create and instead had created a variety of different toxins under the guise of base chemicals for the serum. After hearing this, the agent seemed far less interested in Theodore, but still supplied him with a lab small lab and prisoners to test on. The agent informed him he was to use the lab to design poisons for Talon assassins and would occasionally be sent himself to prove his worth. That was fine with Theodore.

The new Talon recruit did his jobs effectively and subtly , poisoning target's food or using his pistol to do so from afar and, in some situations, unleashing a highly toxic gas in the target's area which killed most people nearby. This use of poison earned him the title 'Viper' which is what he is typically referred to now.

Extra: Viper typically covers himself from head to toe, and wears his mask not only to hide his horrific acid wounds , but also because his mask has a personal ventilation system, allowing him to breathe his deadly concoctions in without fear of damage to his body.

This would have been finished sooner but I spent about and hour looking for an image (and even then it isn't amazing) and another half an hour getting side-tracked by doing a bunch of reading on toxicology because..I think I was checking if toxicologists actually get licences? I don't know, but I'm side tracked easily.

• Neutral Ability: Watchful Eye: Lux can see the condition of his barriers through walls the same way healers can see allies.
• Weapon Ability: Lux makes hard light constructs of a shotgun that shoots ten rounds before vanishing and Lux creates a new and fully loaded shotgun out of hard light. His alternative fire is creating a small barrier in front of him that absorbs over a quarter of the damage dealt. The barrier lasts for two seconds and needs 4 seconds to recharge.
• Special Ability 1: Deployable Barriers: Lux can create a barrier generator that generates a large shield that can be used as cover and when it gets destroyed it creates a small explosion that deals damage to nearby enemies. Lux can have up to two barriers up at any point. They last until they are either destroyed or new barriers are deployed.
• Special Ability 2: Repairs: Lux uses his synthetic arms to repair barriers either allies' preexisting barriers or the ones he deployed onto the battlefield.
• Ultimate Ability: Hard light Overdrive: Lux can temporarily increase his barriers to Level 2 where they're indestructible and heals all nearby allies but new ones can not be placed during this time.

Biography:

Lux controls the flow of both battles and society with his reality-bending hard-light construction, he wishes to create a just and perfect society through well-placed justice and protecting those who can't protect themselves. And he wants to be in the forefront of that change.

Following the creation of Utopaea in southern India, the Vishkar Corporation moved its endeavors to all over the world, like Mexico, Rio de Janeiro and namely Vancouver, Canada. Vancouver like many large cities all over the world was heavily damaged following the Omnic Crisis so much so that the Canadian government contacted the Vishkar Corporation to make repairs to Vancouver. The reason why was due to the fact that the government was spread far too thin to deal with every city and town that was damaged during the Omnic Crisis so outside help was heavily used during the repairs of Canadian infrastructure. But the Vishkar Corporation took complete control of western Canada, taking children with the ability to create hard-light construction at night or off the streets to never be seen again the same way, and other extreme measures to make sure Vancouver doesn't end up like Rio de Janeiro.

One such child taking from their home was Aiden Paris, a child born without arms but an extraordinary ability to bend hard-light to his whim to become an experimental Hard-light Engineer, young Aiden not knowing his origins or family was engrossed and indoctrinated into the will of the Vishkar Corporation, so for many years he was a fast learning and talented Hard-light user. Unlike most hard-light Engineers Aiden sees hard-light as a tool to defend and protect others instead of weaponizing it to kill and maim people. His soft and altruistic nature made him a danger to the Vishkar Corporation who wanted morally inept and unquestioning soldiers. But when he grew older Aiden questioned everything more and more wondering if the way the Vishkar Corporation is the right way or if there's a more humane answer to their abuse of power. But on his 18th birthday, Aiden was given synthetic arms to better control hard-light, but the cost was to kill a follow Hard-light engineer that was selling their tech to the black market. Aiden almost killed the engineer but in the last second Aiden betrayed the Vishkar Corporation and ran off before killing the engineer the engineer also survived the encounter and ran off to somewhere Aiden would never know. Aiden was on the run for a month before he got out of Vishkar's reach. One day the Engineer he spared contacted him and he vowed to help Aiden escape the Vishkar Corporation with his life and freedom intact.

Sometime later Aiden was picked up by the Canadian government and was asked inside detail of the Vishkar Corporation after an anonymous message contacted them about the abuse of power in Vancouver. This leak caused an outrage all over Canada to overthrow the Vishkar Corporation from Vancouver. With Aiden's testimony inspiring others Vishkar employees to sue the company. The Vishkar Corporation was sued for millions and they closed their Canadian branch not long after. Aiden became kind of a celebrity and was given the nickname Lux by news outlets and bloggers a nickname he grew attached to and started to use.

A few months after Lux was contacted by Overwatch to join in their new squad to deal with criminals like the Vishkar Corporation and Talon, although hesitant at first he joined them with a desire to serve and protect others, as he felt he was getting too comfortable in his role as a celebrity and he could use the training to better improve himself if the Vishkar Corporation ever comes for him.

@DesperatePerson Your character looks fine enough. Btw, you don't need to have a neutral ability if you can't think of one. There's a reason why I said its optional lol (besides not all characters in Overwatch have a neutral ability). I can let you think of a biography to put in later.

Tickling? Uh... well, I think it should be like a Special ability, like say... Ana's Sleep Dart or something imo.
