The year is 2020.
Following a single term, President Trump is about to be defeated in a landslide victory for Democratic Candidate Alexander Joseph Luthor. Collapsed support from House Republicans under the leadership of Paul Ryan shattered Trump's hardman attitude, leaving many of his grand sweeping projects incomplete. Despite further rebounds in regards to the American economy, and a lack of the feared apocalyptic war, divides within the American population only grew wider. The truth was simple; further stagnation.
The only change, was perhaps the greatest change of all, the advent of the 'supers' those blessed, whether from extraterrestrial origin, or more native factors, with great powers and abilities. They joined a growing group of noteworthy vigilantes, serving to protect the American people from each other, as conflicts grew only bolder.
While many saw them as a saving grace, many more saw them as a threat, and this was the feeling that Alexander Luthor tapped into. A campaign of unification, of humanity standing strong, able to handle its own problems, without relying on outsiders. No Gods or Kings, just men. Some were weary at the prospect of another business man, another charismatic demagogue appealing to the people, but in truth, there were few similarities between the candidates. Lex Luthor was calm, calculating and a philanthropist in more than just name. His victory seemed assured, and with that, the fate of the vigilantes, powered and not, seemed to hang in the balance.

-DC Superhero RP, set on a different timeline.
-Powered Superheroes have only just started to appear, Superman is not on the scene. Any other heroes with super powers have either arisen in the last few years, or are foreign.
-Characters can be alternate version of themselves, even those not impacted by the new timeline, but they should still connect to the core of the character, Bruce Wayne is still Bruce Wayne.
-The RP is firmly set in the first generation of heroes, with a possible second beginning to appear i.e. Dick Grayson is not yet Nightwing, if he does feature.
-Good of anti-hero/neutral characters only for now.
-High Casual RP, so be expected to come with a firm grasp of the English language and a willingness to write more then a few lines for posts. Knowledge of the setting, or at least actively picking it up is also expected.
-GMs word on matters is final, debate is one thing, but ultimately my word supersedes any outside source.
-Do try and have fun.
