hello there! here lately (probably inspired by the absolutely wonderful fallout: new vegas & yandere tropes roleplays (separate roleplays, of course)) i've been craving some roleplays that don't necessarily end in happy endings. first, let me preface this by asking everyone interested in any of the threads below to please read my general rules and make sure we're all on the same page here! also, for added fun, check out my oc list and see if there is an oc that you'd like to play against. (the latter isn't necessary, i will definitely create new ocs to work with our plots!) while a lot of these are m/f and i'd prefer to play the female in a lot of these threads, i do not mind in the slightest to play m/m, f/f, or any other orientation pairing you'd like.

for this roleplay, i'd like to do something where one of us plays someone who has an unhealthy romantic obsession with the other. (note that the above means i can play either role!) if you're an anime or manga fan, we could play quite a bit on generic 'yandere' tropes, or perhaps it's more of a competitive romantic interest -- "anything you can do, i can do better" kind of thing. or, perhaps, we could play on idolization tropes; a fan with an obsession, an underclassman with an upperclassman crush, etc! i have a couple of ideas for this already, so if you're interested in hearing what i have to say about this theme, just ask; otherwise share with me your ideas!
obsessive love: double-sided ' with those lying lips, come and tell me this: how much more will you try to fool me like this, baby? '
okay, i know the above really made no sense, but this is a variation of the traditional 'yandere' roleplay; instead of one person being the yandere and chasing after 'senpai', i'd like for it to be double-sided, meaning that both characters are yandere-esque, murderous with guts and glory and all, perceiving the other person as their object of affection. i think it'd be interesting if the characters were the leaders of respective clubs, such as the student council president and the disciplinary committee head (listen i already have an idea for this one if you're game) or the volleyball captain and the basketball captain, etc. at the end, of course, the two find out that their 'senpai' loves them as much as they love their senpai... or perhaps their murderous tendencies get the better of them and act upon a sadomasochistic romeo and juliet, eventually being victims of the bloodlust?
contract killers: contractor/assassin ' so sleep soundly in your beds tonight; judgement falls upon you at first light. '
for this roleplay, i'd like to do something where i play a contractor with a god complex and you play the obedient assassin who follows my character's kills. this is slightly inspired by cardlinaudio's ' the offer ' series, but i would be playing the role of the more experienced assassin. in actuality, i would prefer for my character to be the face value to your character's active participation in killing. i have a lot of themes that i would like to incorporate into this; i would prefer for the killer character to perceive the contractor like a ruler or a god, which only unhealthily fuels the contractor's god complex/ego. i have a lot of things i'd like to talk about in regards to this, so please pm me with your ideas if you're interested, or comment below so that i can get in touch with you!
emotionally abusive relationship: abused/abuser ' i'll tell you my sins & you can sharpen your knife. '
for this roleplay, i'd like to do something where our characters are in an emotionally abusive relationship; gaslighting, emotional manipulation, et cetera. i actually have a red versus blue character that is built around this kind of thing (please ask me to roleplay as her against your character, i will cry actual tears of angsty goodness). i would prefer for this not to necessarily be in a modern setting but instead in a science-fiction kind of world so that i can use a version of this character against your character. i would prefer for there to be action and growth between the characters during this; this would probably be the only kind of roleplay that would end happily, per se, if it called for it.
magical universe: cursed/curser ' unraveling truth on binding strings won't free me even yet. '
for this roleplay, i'd like to do something in a magical universe (either high fantasy or urban fantasy/modern fantasy, or even science fiction) where my character is cursed or magically cursed/bound to your character in some way or another. magical servitude, transformation into a magical being, perhaps even my character is a magical being summoned to be your character's servant. i want this entire roleplay to be wrapped around the themes of my character attempting to free from your character's bondage. whether or not they get out or succumb to their role as a magical servant can be discussed through further, in-depth conversation, but i think it'd be interesting to have a mixture of emotions and the like as we explore this idea.
fantasy universe: high standing servant/king show me the escape ; where you go i will follow
for this roleplay, i would like to play something in a high fantasy universe (game of thrones, tolkien works) where i play a knight-commander/paladin/royal sorcerer and you play the king of a powerful fantasy. i'd like to incorporate themes of idolization and my character amplifies the imagery of yours. i also think it would be interesting to perhaps incorporate themes of an evil king/power-hungry king who uses my character's idolization to his advantage and uses my character's power/influence to enforce his rule on the kingdom. i'd really like to explore this.
dystopia: rebellion leader/industry prodigy HERE WE ARE NOW, ENTERTAIN US !!
for this roleplay, i would like to use themes of dystopian universes and cyberpunk themes to create a story in which a leader of the rebellion and a facilitator of the industry (perhaps two teenagers, 18-19, to give off themes of "you don't follow yourself, only what they have taught you" from both ends) end up with one another. whether or not this mutual or not is up to you, and i would like there to be a number of endings that we toss around. does the industry prodigy follow the free-thinking spirit of the rebellion leader, or is the force of the industry too strong, bringing the rebellion leader to her knees? we can toss some ideas around.
