@Famigliolabuona, roughly how large would you say the Valley of Muin is? I'm wondering how long it would take a dwarf to travel from one part of the realm to the other.

Maybe a good comparison could be that the Valley is as big as one third of Switzerland. Walking from east shore to west shore of the lake might take 3 days perhaps, but the mountainside slows the way notably, so from the West Pass to the southern one we can consider easily 10 days.

It is a small valley after all!

So I'm guessing from what's being done with the visiting bard that we're not going to have GM controlled characters and can potentially just claim lore for ourselves?

Yes you can. But the point here is humbleness and contributing to the history. I would dislike lore being created just for the sake of leaning the events too heavily in benefit of your Clan. That is, lore is to be shared and not to be used to win.

And there will be GM controlled characters, but I am more interested in what you do with the pieces than forcing the history in a particular direction. As you use the characters and lore, we improvise together, even if I have many story paths in mind.

I do not know if this is something everyone may like, but I hope this NRP to host this kind of collaborative narrative if it pleases you all.

Oh and, I imagine all of you are very busy with Christmas, but let's hope that the good posts will be stil coming during these holidays. Let us keep the story high on!

I'll keep going, no matter how few we are, but I think the matter would be to have players to continue the current scene and if we don't have our old ones, decide what to do.
