IC and OOC here. Not currently looking for specific characters but if you have a role/idea, feel free to pitch it. Its possible I could do a second run of this RP if theres enough demand (Maybe just GM-ing, maybe playing, who knows, feel free to run your own versions if you want to use this format of an rp!)
The plot is pretty simple, a mother/grandmother has an average sized home ... and TOO many occupants. The RP follows the dramas of each character sharing this limited space and how they bounce off of other characters. Positions are flexible, so if you don't think you want to play an aunty, you could play a cousin or family friend instead (pending approval from Silent and I!!!). Here's some ideas...
Grandmother
Mother
kids
relative/family friend/mothers new partner
Friends/enemies/characters outside the home
Basically, they all live under one roof and all their dramas collide and explode and bounce off each other. Rather than having one larger overarching plot, this RP focus' on the mini-arcs each character goes through. Daughter 1 is bullied in school and develops an eating disorder, son 1 is underage and gets his also underage girlfriend pregnant, the sons partner steals money from the mother, the mother begins seeing a new man do the kids get on with the sort-of step-father-figure entering their lives? etc etc etc (none of these ideas are confirmed these are just examples of the types of mini-plots that will happen).
FILLED ROLES
(Silent and I are still negotiating lol)
Silent and I will sort out room arrangements pending character approvals (the point of this RP is that people who need their own spaces are shoved together, so there will be siblings squashed into the same room). If you are interested, please comment and let us know the types of character(s) you wish to play, finally ... I just want to point out a few house rules.
1. Silent and I are GM's, we came up with this idea together, we'll have the final say, but don't worry, we're not ganging up on you, we're both pretty chill dudes. This is basically a 1x1x1 (or a 4-player-strong group) in terms of players, so you are welcome to and encouraged to make suggestions and contribute to the plot.
2. Keep it clean, no smut on the guild, fade out if you must, or take it to PM's.
3. If you're dealing with particularly sensitive issues, please give a GM (me or Si) a heads up, everyone wants to feel safe and cozy in the RP so if you have any concerns about certain topics, please speak up.
4. POST LENGTH/FREQUENCY - We're likely in different timezones, and different schedules, so to keep things nice and non-chaotic, try avoid ping-ponging (that is two players bouncing back and forth in quick succession, leaving a 3rd player behind). You can write collab posts via PM and then post in one single post in the IC thread if you want to do some back and forth exchanges between two characters where the third player isn't heavily involved. Just try not to leave anyone behind, also, if you will be gone for extended periods, please let the other players know! As for post length ... NO. ONE. LINERS. This is cas-adv level, so you're expected to have a respectable grasp of the english language and write meaty enough posts. If we run into trouble with ping-ponging/back-and-forth posting or speed posting (people posting frequently and letting others fall behind) we may introduce a posting order to keep things organised and maintain a good pace.
