Jade Raiden
"Do your thing. Do it every day. Do it unapologetically. Don’t be discouraged by criticism. You probably already know what they’re going to say. Pay no mind to the fear of failure. It’s far more valuable than success. Take ownership, take chances, and have fun. And no matter what, don’t ever stop doing your thing." – Asher Roth16 +

APPEARANCE
Evelyn Jade Raiden is a very beautiful girl, and many people would agree – although Jade is the first to deny it. She has pale skin with long dark brown hair. She has striking blue eyes and always hides her feelings behind her fake smile. Jade is thin and about 5’1” tall.
S C A R S / T A T T O O S / P I E R C I N G SJade has a few scars on her wrists/arms from self-harm, she does her best to hide these with long sleeved shirts. She has a tattoo and four ear piercings on each ear. The tattoo is on Jade's ribcage, right underneath her left breast - a key. The key represents many things to Jade, and she changes it's meaning regularly. Currently, she is using it as a reminder that there is a way in and a way out of every situation - as long as she uses her head. She acquired the tattoo without her parents permission at a dingy and somewhat sketchy tattoo parlor.
C L O T H I N G S T Y L EJade tends to stick to black, gray, and red tones in her clothing. She rarely wears t-shirts or tank tops without something covering her arms, and almost always is wearing skinny jeans.
PERSONALITY

P E R S O N A L I T YJade is a bit of a pessimist. She is very introspective, so oftentimes she will go into one of her hiding places to escape the world (one of her favorites is the roof of her house). Jade will continue to run and hide from everyone, but all she desperately wants is for someone to come after her - someone to tell her it's going to be okay. She's always been so strong on the outside, never to let anyone see how she really feels. She doesn't want to push anyone away – but she doesn't want to scare anyone.
Jade hates the lack of individuality everywhere. She hates the school dress code, and is often found making small changes to her appearance against school rules. She comes from a dark past, and has many deep secrets that she shares with no one.

BACKGROUND
H I S T O R YJade was born in Alabama to a family of nine. She is going into her second to last year in a new school and she doesn't have many friends. She used to have a few friends in elementary and early middle school, but as she got older, she put her walls up, and unknowingly pushed all her friends away. Starting things at a new school will be very difficult for her to deal with. She had a very strict family, her being the second oldest with four brothers and two sisters she never got much attention from her parents (which explains some of the way she acts) and often feels unwanted.
As a little girl, she always dreamed of the world and all of its amazing possibilities – she dreamt of an impossible and unrealistic world… Each year she found out how wrong she was about her dream world – her dream life. Seemingly everything in her life was falling apart, and it was only getting worse from there. A few months ago her family was in a horrible accident, the family all went out to dinner while Jade and her older sister stayed behind – Jade was at home while her sister was at a friend’s house. By the time they got word that their parents and siblings were in a car crash, all had died either on site or at the hospital.
Both girls were traumatized at the unexpected death of their family, and a mere six days later Jade’s sister commits suicide – unable to live with the pain. Jade feels utterly alone, suddenly completely isolated from anyone she cared about. Not too soon later her grandparents come and take her in to live with them down in Pennsylvania. Jade is numb to everything at first, but fear and despair are slowly setting in.
